quote:
There is no way to know if or when Salvia divinorum will be made illegal in the U.S. As of April 2002, there has been no public notice that the DEA or the Attorney General plans to schedule S. divinorum. It is likely that if it is ever scheduled, it will happen quickly and without much warning through the emergency scheduling process.

There are no age limits on possessing Salvia divinorum, though state regulations in some places could potentially prevent stores from selling it to minors since it is intended to be smoked. However we are unaware of any such laws. Generally age limits on tobacco purchases specifically name tobacco, rather than any smoked product. Check your local laws.

from erowid btw...

Scumsucking moron Senator Joe Baca (who just won his second term) of 9th? (San Bernardino, CA) District is heading the process to schedule S. Divinorum and salvinorin A as DEA shedule 1.

I wrote that rat bastard and so should you.

It's extremely likely that Salvia Divinorum will made totally illegal (and it will also halt its ongoing research) in the good 'ol backwards-ass USA by next spring. So stock up now.

Just to note: I wrote Erowid and informed them of the situation but they have not revised their page to reflect it. Sometimes I think the whole of Erowid may be just one stoned guy with a computer.
