Re: Nevada Marijuana Legalization
I'm not in navada, but I would vote FOR question 9. I read a big article in Time Magezine about the push for pot legalization. It looks like it's doing surprisingly well. 39% thought it should be legal (according to their polls) and 78% thought that it should only be a very minor misderminor. good luck down there in navada, if it take hold there it could spread! I hope!

Re: Nevada Marijuana Legalization
I read up on this topic, but all the articles failed to mention what the catch was. The law will state that you could possess up to 3oz legally, if you are 21+. But is it legal to sell, buy, traffic??? I know it says you can only smoke in a private home, but can you HAVE it in your car. Just wondering.

Re: Nevada Marijuana Legalization
Those are minor details when compared to the big picture, the final goal! This is the first step in true legalization. This bill would probably have a catch here and there, but these kinks will surely be worked out in the future. When will we get the results of this vote?

Re: Nevada Marijuana Legalization
the law will be just like it is for booze. you cant have open containers in your car so now open bagies. You cant drive under the influence and you cant sell it either. its a double standerd while its leagle in nevada its still a fed crime so the goverment can bust you anytime. also nevada will(if the law passes)look for a way to regulate sales for pot through the state so most likly youl be able to buy it at the gas station in a few years

Re: Nevada Marijuana Legalization
Marijuana is already droped to misdemeaner due to legalization of Prescription/Medical use in Nevada.
The new law would allow 3oz and under in the privacy of your own home. 21 and over.
I was also wondering if anybody new if this was too pass, Will it lead to possible smoking aloud elsewhere? i.e. Casinos
..and I think the kid would of shot/played qith the gun without any drugs, just strait curiosity.

Re: Nevada Marijuana Legalization
you can not vote online.. you have to be 18 and you have to be registered. then you have to vote at the polls for your district, not just any ole poll around. and youre late anyway, yesterday was election day. (Nov 5)
if youre in question about the question, it failed 60% to 39%. theres a thread about it that i started to discuss why stoners dont vote.

Re: Nevada Marijuana Legalization
Don't get me wrong. Im all for pot leagalization, but will it have an adverse effect on the econmey. Think how many people get busted for pot every day, and how much they have to pay in fines. I would say that the goverment might make more money off pot being illeagal than leagal. Allso the so called "Drug War" is provideing thousands of jobs, however misdirected the cause. The tax dollars pumped into that department alone range in the ten millions. I don't really think Big Brother would ever allow that much of a cut in it's pocket book.
As I said before, Im all for pot leagalization. Just some things to think about.

Re: Nevada Marijuana Legalization
the other sucky thing is that even if Question 9 passes, thats only state law. if a prosicutor(sp?) wants to hit you for possession, even if it's below the "legal limit" according to the Navada state law, they just charge you with breaking federal law, and you can still be jailed for it. it's kinda lame, but it's still a step in the right direction.

thats one of the most moronic things ive ever fucking read!! do you realize how many people go to prison for marijuana? do you know how much it costs us to keep people in prison? are you fucking dense? you must be!! theres more people in prison for marijuana than any other drug, if we stopped putting them there we would save billions!! besides that, fuck putting the economy over keeping people out of prison, you tool. if we could legalize hemp the economy would soar! theres so many alternate uses for hemp it amazing, and theyd be sooo much cheaper. hemp oil, hemp paper, hemp everything! fucking jell-o-for-brains up in here. geez!! and GreaterEvil, voting was the 5th. question 9 failed.
