I would like to hear what everyones home made bong is like. [for those of us who have them]

For me, it is a 2 in 1 device. It can be a small pipe or a small bong. You only need 3 things to make it:

*1 TV cable end piece. [the metal piece]
*1 length of hose with an inner diameter just smaller then the TV cble end piece.
*1 half pint mason jar

All you do is get your TV cable end piece, [which can be a bitch to get off and get the wire out of but isnt too hard] and stick it into a length of hose that is about .25 inches shorter then the space between the jar bottom and the lid. Stick it in upto the turny part. Now, get another piece of hose about a foot long.

Now, take a nail and hammer and hammer two holes into your lid. Then using a star head screw driver jam it through both holes to make them bigger. You want one hole a bit smaller then the hose, and one hole just the same size. Take your foot long piece of hose and stick it into the holes that is smaller then the hose. To help with this try cutting the end of the hose on an angle. Once you get it through, make sure it only sticks in about a half inch, if that even.

Now, add some water to your jar. Fill it just a bit above half way. Screw on the lid and youre done. You now have a 2 in 1 piece.

To use it as a pipe, well, the pipe is already constructed. The hose is obviously the hose part [erf!] and the metal cable end is the bowl. To use it as a bong stick the 'pipe' into the hole thats the same size as the hose. Stick it all the way down. Near the bowl piece the hose widens to wrap around the bowl part, so just push it in a bit to create a seal.

Pack and light! This bong pipe combo OBVIOUSLY isnt desinged for hugely packed bowls. I use it mostly for roaches or to actually smoke from it Ill just take the wed I wanna smoke, and break it into a few small pieces.

i use a gravity bong on occasion. i make it buy usign a 3/8 in rachet thing, and its the perfect size of the bottle cap. so all you do is put a screen in stop pack, then place on top of the bottle with the bottom cut out. then you know the rest...

a 20oz plastic bottle. with socket for bowl. and pen down tube w/metal connect(the meatl piece between the metal and plastic so it doesnt get so hot). thats it. and a sink screen. i'm about to make the jar kind now. they hit a lot better. i had one before but i lost it somewhere and never got around to it.

I mostly just use Gravitys or Lungs. I have my own glass pipe as well so i use that of course.

If you make a REALLY good gravity it can give you really fat hits on small amount of weed (if you need to conserve).

an excellent plus about gravity bongs, too, is that they produce almost excess smoke, and thus almost no smell. this makes them PERFECT for the dorm. if there's still water in the bottom when you hit it, there's no visible smoke even when you exhale.

Mine is a bit more complex than that, its a bit hard to explain, but basically..

It has two and a half chambers (one of them is part of the stem), great filtration out of the first underwater water-less chamber through small holes and a normal shotty, its main body is a 600ml powerade bottle. This is the second prototype which I am yet to make.

I made a pipe out of a Canada Dry bottle, some of that gummy poster stick stuff and this metal peice off of a wooden-handled screw driver.

Also, my friend has a 6 foot bong that is just a 6 foot metal pole with a whole drilled in the bottom end for the tuba mouth-piece bowl. One end has a cap that fits perfectly. He also has another 6 foot pole that he can make a 12 footer with if he combines them.

i also made a ice catcher thingy for mine. its another 20oz bottle cut in half. with some modifications to the cap so it fits prefectly on my normal one. i dont use it that much but if you fill it up with crushed ice you can barely feel the smoke.

This wasn't so much of a bong as it was a water pipe. Even so, it was still way cool.

I started out with a 2L Erlenmeyer filter flask [the kind with a side arm on it for tubing].

The side arm had about 2ft of surgical tubing with a mouth piece taken from a tobacco pipe at the end.

I used a 2 hole stopper. In one hole ran the metal tubing that went into the water and had the bowl at the other end. In between the ends I had a resonating chamber.

The other hole was used as a carb.

But; I also go one of those pocket welders from Radio Smack. They use gas cartridges that are also the same size at whippets.

I ran a tube from the pocket welder to the carb hole.

Thus, while smoking, we could add a charge of NO2.**

That pipe was too cool: We called it 'the Gas Chamber'. We even made a commercial on video for it [as sold by Dr. Bong]. Ah, if only I had a way to share it here, I'm sure most would get a kick out of it].

ok jung told me itd be a good idea to make one big bong page so.. ok i made one of these a couple years back they look kool they toke good and they last awhile.
ok heres the list you need:
1x acorn top
1x long piece of bamboo at least an inch or so wide
2x small pieces of some type of screen
a drill of sorts
some aluminum foil
some tape, string, and a candle (you can use
something else if you want)

1) ok get your bamboo and make it the size you want your pipe. (i made mine about a foot)get your drill and drill the segments inside the bamboo or if a drill wont work here get a piece of metal put it under your candle for alittle bit and push it throw down in your bamboo to make the hole.
2)drill down the ends a little and widen up the end you wanna toke from and then in the front(optional i guess but it seems easier)cut it down at a slant where your finger will be
3)find where you want to put the place where your gonna but your green. drill here at the top till your acorn fits good. then drill a hole in the middle of the acorn
4)now put the small pieces of screen over the hole use some tape and tape the acorn down over the screen(around the acorn and around the whole pipe..not the acorn, aroud it)
5)then move onto the string (use whatever type you want got or whatever)..wrap it just like you used the tape until its covered up all the tape. keep winding until the acorn wont move
6)then cover up the acorn with foil(i know youll all say it its horrible to toke foil well..for some reason you wont end up tasting any foil.
7)ok this works good to0. then after, you light up the candle and drip wax onto the string and around the acorn and the thing will be secure as fuck.

use can use almost anything and make some kinda bong,hooka, or pipe my cheap friends who cant or dont wanna buy one; have made bongs with tops, broomsticks, pop cans, their moms good vase,garden hoses..practically everything. even inhalers..and plus if the cops search you theyll just think its an inhaler..and usually not open it up to find weed. this was also in idle hands i think..i dont remeber nm. happy tokings

mine's made from a piece of pvc pipe from home depot,i then made a bowl piece out of some smaller pvc pipe and an elbow, then i heated up the bong where i wanted to put my bowl piecein and shoved it through the melted plastic so it fit real good, then i wrapped the whole thing in green vinyl material put a plastic cap on the bottom, and shoved a red hot metal pointer through the middle for the air flow, it works real good, espescially with crushed ice, and it even has felt finger grips on it wooooo

WOAH! If you know whats good for you you'll trash it and build a new one, smoking from pvc gives you cancer, of course I cant verify this to an absolute fact but I've heard many people say never to smoke from it,

i like to make a gravity bong now and then which is really simple all you need is a bucket and a 2 liter coke bottle
first cut the bottom off the coke bottle and set it away for a moment then drill in hole in the cap of the bottle big enough to fit a bowl in or to put the stem of your bong through and put the cap back on the bottle,fill the bucket halfway up with water pack your bowl and place the bottle in the bucket,put your lighter to the bowl and left the bottle up really slowly moving it in circular motion until the bottle fills up or you notice its filled with a enough smoke take the cap off the bottle and put your mouth around it force the bottle back down inhaling as fast as you can,this forces the smoke into your longs causing you to get massive hits,i've never seen any1 be able to take more than 2 hits,and i've seen dudes just fall straight down after hitting one of these so take caution and know how much smoke your lungs will be able to handle

Yeah, Ive heard that about PVC as well. Perhaps make a replica out of copper or brass pipe. Ide imagine of the twwo copper would be cheaper, but brass would be easier, seeing as how I believe copper fittings need to be welded whereas brass fittings are all threaded.

I call mine R2 as in R2D2. Its a 32 oz or bigger gatorade bottle with a metal stem and a hose in the top. A bowl is screwed into the stem and the bottom of the stem is in water. The tube is above water. It used to have a second bottle on the tube with water but that was back when i was stupid and realized it was a bad idea. Really too hard too exsplain that part. A carb can be melted in to the side of the bottle and you get huge rips. I used it almost everday this summer on high rides.

It was a post by enigmaXesp on 11-03 and mentioned using an inhaler. I'm assuming it's like a benzedrex inhaler, but not sure. Would like to know how to make it "useful" for something other than a stuffy nose!

Maxpower: yea, I built one like that once too! Though I used a trumpet piece as the bowl. Gatoraide bottles make good bases. Also, there's the infamos "Sobe bottle gravity bong" made by puncturing the bottom of the bottle with a nail (in the littl egroove thing at the bottom) and then putting a bowl on the cap.plug the puncture hole, fill it with water and tighten on thew cap. light up and release your hold on the hole, the water will drain and it will fill with skunky goodness. inhale and your selt. this works REALLY well, stess on the REALLY. Have fun!

i make one out of any kind of plastic bottle and a pen. unscrew the pen and take out the inky writey thing. take the bottle and make 2 holes in it. one by the top and one about halfway. take the plastic part of the pen and stuff it in the hole halfway, then fasten it with some chewed up chewing gum if necessary. take the lid off the bottle, pour some water in, put your joint in the pen, put your thumb on the hole in the top, then inhale through the hole that the bottle lid was on. once the bottles filled with smoke, take your thumb off the hole and inhale. voila, easiest bong ever.

I'v got a very nice 4 person bong.

it's a three foot clear pvc tube with a tea strainer bowl that fits 3 gram bowls nicely and has four 5 foot tubes running off it.

works like a dream.
