in the 1940s is when it existed you could go out with 3 bucks and get wasted on ampthetamines them were the days but aclohal was illegal and all the pot sucked so i guess they had to do somethin

...alcohol was legal in the 40's, in 1920 the 18th amendment was ratified making alcohol illegal 13 years later in 1933 prohibition ended.
