After you make some Cannabutter do you then have to use the butter in cookies or browines or is the THC 'activated' when it gets cooked into the butter and you can just put the butter on some bread and get the same effect?

Cannabutter Recipe
1. Boil 5 pints of water in a large saucepan.
2. Add 8oz of cubed butter to the water.
3. When the butter has melted add 8oz of finely chopped leaf including sunleaves. (This
recipe is based on using males leaves and obviously using females or buds will make it
much stronger)
4. Simmer for 1-2 hours stirring occasionally. The longer the better really, but 2 hours
was fine. You can also add abit more water if it looks dry. It's smells pretty grim, but
remember it's going to be worth it!
5. Strain the liquid through a collander and squeeze all remaining liquid from the leaves.
6. Rinse the leaves with some boiling water to remove the last bits of butter and press
through a colander again.
8. Restrain through a fine sieve to remove all leaf fragments.
9. Place the liquid in the fridge over night.
10. Remove the beautiful disc of Cannabutter from the top of the liquid and place on
some kitchen towel to remove any water and chuck the remaining water anyway, it's
useless.
11. Use the butter in any of your favourite recipes. Allow brownies and biscuits work
fine, high suger foods will reduce the effect of the butter. It's something to do with the
way your stomach works.

Just spread it on toast if you want to, as long as it gets into you the thc is already buffered in the fat and absorbable.

Well yes the 8oz seems like a lot. I know if I had 8oz I'd never dump it im a pot of water. I think there are many different recipies and ammounts but the main idea of getting the thc absorbed into the butter will always be the same. and actually that recipe is for male plants which have very little THC compared to the females.

i've made smaller batches of cannabutter with the following:
Buy box of cookie brownie or cake mix.
use called for amount of butter
here's what you do
take a 1/8 to 1/4 of "secret ingredient" (or as much as you want i guess) and deseed destem it. grind it through a metal patsa strainer over and over until it's a fine powder (sounds like much less work than it is) SLOWLY over a VERY LOW FLAME melt butter and add powdered "secret ingredient" This flame has to be really low, like barely visible. cook for twenty min. constantly stirring and being very careful not to burn ( no brown crusty tuff at the bottom). at this point you can strain debris from the mix, but i like to leve it in for texture and taste. stick the butter in the freezer to congeal.

use as called for butter in any recipe! even patsa!

It should work with just the butter (or so i've heard) but you need to use a lot of marijuana. My friends tried it with a small amount of mj (like a dime I think lol) and it didn't do anything

I can't figure how that would work caus when extracting THC oil from pot, you have to use a high percentage alchol (methanol, acetone, isopoyl) or use butane gas.
I'm no expert but i reckon doing it that way wouldn't get all of the THC out of the pot.

I made cannibutter to make brownies last summer, and th THC is in the butter. And remember to use like %100 cow fatty butter, none of that margarine, or vegetable crap, it won't bond with that stuff, only fat cells.
