cultivating shrooms
i ordered some spore syringes from 'thelittleguy' last week and i should be getting my spores soon. i have never grown before, but i think i have a pretty good idea how. i was just wondering which method is best. is ricecakes good enough to grow with or do i have to go out and buy some soil and flour and shit. once the mycellium has cultivated the substrate jars, should i just open the lid for fruiting, or should i pour the contents in a tray with more compost mix? any tips for a newbie?

Re: cultivating shrooms
actually my cat is growing some b+ right now, he though he didnt everything wrong and compleatly lost all the hope but yesterday check and saw white mycelium spreading on the jars (PF Tek method) rice cakes are deffinatly best for newbies and full proof if u do everything right... b+ is a good strain to start with... you can find all the info you need at http://www.shroomery.com and you can find my cat there by the name of c0ma peace and good luck
