Do you mean 4-methylaminorex or methamphetamine crystals.

It probably is possible to change methamphetamine into 4-methylaminorex, however its pretty unfeasable, considering how (relatively) easy the 4-methylaminorex synthesis is.

Well, if you need it in layman's terms, you shouldnt try synthesizing 4-methylaminorex. You have to use cyanogen bromide in the synthesis. Its unstable and toxic.

Easy? I don't consider working with cyanogen bromide easy.

Its a fairly simple synthesis, even if the chemicals are dangerous.

Sorry veryfirstreptile, my (?) was not a "you should know this or you should not try it" jab, it was because I really don't know what solvent would be best to recrystallize meth, it is water soluble so it is most likely alchohol soluble too, perhaps straight denatured (heet) would do it, or maybe methyl hydrate, I don't want to give advice that will make you lose your dream. Go to Rhodium, it is a very technical site, but with a little research you will find what you are looking for.
