All health issues aside (like sleep deprivation) is there any chemical (drug) that i could take that would help me to stay awake for long periods of time- i am talking about 4 or 5 days. I know that stimulants like caffiene should work but i drink three or four cups of coffee a day anyway and i think that i am developing a tolerance to it.

Thanks for the responses- even though i suspect that 40oz didn't actually read all of my first post where i stated that i think i am developing a tolerance for caffeine, no matter.

So then- ritalin (need to do some research on that one) and ephedrine, any other ideas people- even staying awake tips would be great.

Oh and btw- with the per day pledges that i have recieved i would have to stay awake for 9 days to beat the standing record (�1500)for raised money from a single person- do you think i would develop a tolerance to ephedrine or ritalin in that time? Or even worse some sort of addiction?

Ephedrine would stop working after about 2 days, ritalin would keep you going for five or six but by then you would be taking 6 or 7 pills every 3-4 hours. Stimulants like any other drug are sublect to the law of diminishing returns, that is to say, the more you take, the more it takes. Nine days tho', holy shit, if you could do it without any drugs you would probibly set some kind of a record.

fyi, the longer you stay awake the greater the halluciations, based on my experiances ...i went on a meth and adderall binge when finals came around and i got stronger visuals than I ever had, even from high grade acid...my table was melting and whatnot..it was insane. But i wouldn't stay awake unless you really wanted/needed to, because the crash is pretty rough and your brain checks out even though the rest of your body is still chugging along...after staying up for two days i stupidly sped down some road 30 miles over the speed limit running all the red lights when some cops pulled me over. I was yelling at them, telling them to shove it and whatnot...then i started telling them about problems with my parents...weird. I normally would never do anything like this. i really suprised myself on that one.

Cheers for the tips people. A couple of my mates are doing similar things as well (ain't it great when your best mates work at the same office as you) anyway- hopefully we will be able to keep each other awake. I was searching the net for tips on staying awake and came across the guiness world record for staying awake which was something ridiculas like 400 hours (about 17 days), the bloke did it by meditating but reported that by the 10th day he was getting delusional. I don't have enough time to learn how to meditate and do yoga and that so i might go for the ephedrine if its non addictive.

yes, i did read the part about tolerance to coffe, but if you have a month or so, completely stop drinking coffe for the whole time... then before the sleeping fast, make several gallons of coffe that you ran through the machine about 5 times mixed with tons of sugar.... not sure how good it is for about 9 days, but it'll do something good especially if done with the other drugs

in my experience Dexatrin works better at keeping you awake and non-fatigued than Ritalin. NoDoze (caffiene pills) make you sick sometimes and is hardly a stimulant after you do it a few times (noticably anyway). I'd recommend taking 50mg of Dexatrin (legal Dextroamphetamine) over a period of a couple hours, which will keep you awake for a couple days, then repeat. you'll make it fine if you were to use ritalin or adderal I'm sure. They all serve the same purpose with similar cell construction. good luck though.

In the initial post he said he did not want to take amphetamines, which leaves Dexadrine, Adderall, etc, out of the question. Besides, it's only legal if you have a prescription.
Dexatrin is a 15% w/v injectable solution of Oxytetracycline hydrochloride B.P. and 0.05% w/v of Dexamethasone (as Sodium Phosphate B.P.) and 1% w/v Tripelennamine hydrochloride B.P., apparently used to control virus in cattle and sheep. I wouldn't recommend that.
Dexatrim is PPA, and I think its OTC. This would be more logical seeing how its pretty similiar to amphetamine.
I would personally choose Yellow Jackets or a similiar ephedra/caffeine combo.

Does that OTC Dexatrim stuff do anything stimulating for your CNS? I know it's used as diet pills, but can they be snorted for a (very) mild amp-like effect?

I read once that Ibogaine was being researched as a cure for varoius addictions, the subject would enter a trance state and relive crucial moments throughout his/her life, after the drug had run its course the psychological component of an addiction would be lessened or gone, have you heard anything to that effect? The trip reports on Erowid look a little scary, I'm not sure I would try it.

kronikus, I don't think Phenylpropanolamine HCL has much of an enjoyable stimulating effect, if you wanted to try it out I wouldn't reccomend snorting. Try eating a couple first.

I have never tried Ibogaine either has ne1 i know but from what i can gather it sounds VERY scary. I look forward to trying it one day.

Ephedrine's okay for staying up a few days, but after a while you feel like utter shit.

Psychotropic, thanks for your thoughts. I'm looking for an easy way to boost my energy quickly if I need it. Ephedrine is only sold in really small amounts, and I can't find straight caffeine pills around here.
