the medicine marinol is THC pills. i was wondering if these things can be smoked in any way, as i came across about 7 of them, and i dont want to just waste them by just chewin em up. i was wondering if i could crush up the pills and substitue them for cocaine with making crack rocks. or are they smokable at all?

the marinol I had were round capsule things filled with an oil, Wich would be THC in its pure form.

the crack rock idea won't work because THC isn't an alkaloid. describe the pill a little more, maybe i can help then.

i read on one of those medical marijuana sites that marinol is different from the thc in marijuana and doesnt get you high so it doesnt give the same healthy effects

holy fuggin' shit! i dipped a paper in the shit. rolled a fatty with my hydro-onehitter-quitter bud. all i gotta say is DAMN!!! i got 6 more pills like this too. thats the best joint ever, in the history of joints. i fucking passed out from it so strong. i only smoked like 3 hits too, my friend took 2 and he got high as hell too. i had a 'mystical' experience, i kept looking at my friend and he like kept making faces at me, and i made faces back at him like a fucking dumbass, and actualy, he was just sitting there staring at a wall. i got some mild hallucinations like that for 2-3 hours. and many audio hallucinations. and i was laughing histarically the whole time at really retarded ideas. it IS possible to hallucinate on weed! hmm.....i wonder what the other half of the joint is gonna be like?!!!

Either way, Mainol isn't pure THC, it's a form of THC that the Government had made that was meant to have the 'good' effects of pot ,but not get you high [i.e.: the 'bad' effects].

Yes, the THC in a marinol tablet is EXACTLY THE SAME as the THC in marijuana. EXACTLY. The one thing you won't find in a marinol tablet, however, is the mix of different cannabinoids that you would find in weed. Considering that THC is the one that is the "most psychoactive" this is rather unimportant, however. Marinol tabs are suspended in sesame oil, if I am not mistaken, so that is why it was liquid-y. The government has not messed with the THC in marinol, but, many researchers are looking to alter the cannabinoids to get the theraputic effects without the high currently, and have succedded, so poo...

I have read in several sources both reputable and not that thc and other cannabidols are converted by the liver into more potent substances if they are ingested orally, this accounts for the more intense and jittery stone reported by Marinol users. Thoughts?

I agree with C.O.

Marinol is synthetic THC. It also lacks essential cannabinoids that smooth out and control THC whilst in your system. Without them, the ride is less pleasent and bigger.

I have also heard of the liver converting the THC into other usable compounds.

Marinol is dronibanol (sp?), which is an essential component of weed, but its not quite as good as thc.

You can get quite high from just eating them, but it never occurred to me to smoke it. I will have to try it sometime.

And, I woulnt try to shhot them, because it isnt water soluble at all,

Dronabinol is delta-9-THC which is the only constituent in Marinol gelcaps. Suspended in sesame oil.

shit, that is pretty expensive. even tho it is only ~$7.50 per pill, remember that is from a pharmacy, not street value(not sure if it even is sold on the streets, seems slightly pointless, id just buy some real weed instead)
