of course you all have herd that people can get extremely scared on shrooms. I haev recenrtly tried them and i thought it was great. I understand that you can get scared on shrooms and am not doubting it, but what makes you scared on them? is the dose the factor or the type of person you are.

and what kind of "scared", any experiences, examples, hallcinations, etc.?

the thought that they could be tripped out forever seems to fuck up peoples trip. or possibly the feeling of losing control of yourself in an akward situation. or being around someone that youre not comfortable with or in a situation that you cant deal with while tripping. theres plenty of situations that could lead to getting all paranoid and tripping out on it.

man, ive chewed a half-quarter of mushrooms three times, and every time i chewed a half-quarter i would be ok for like 2 hours and then the peak came and i would get these intense visuals and then i would black out and find myself on the cement with tons of people around me. it really didnt like what was happenin to me so i quit mushies

I had 1/16 my first time, i wanted to now do 1/4, and smoke some super chronic at my peak.

does anyone think its that bad of an idea even if im in a secluded place like a forst.

i handle 1/16 really fine and want to go farther, but then again i didnt have n e weed and it was 4 times as less.

any coments, suggestions?

How intense was the trip on 1/16? If good, I'd stick to an 1/8. If not, 1/4 should be good.

grungymagician-I dont think you quite understand the capabilities of magic mushrooms.
reasons people get scared, on top of what Junglist has already said, are things like:

lack of preperation, you need a sound mind before taking any psychedelic, if your emotional at all before dosing up then these emotions are likely to run haywire during a peak.
you need to be able to reassure yourself that your going to come up and that you will come down (whether you like it or not).

Also, the amount counts. because amount increases intensity. ive never had as little as 1/16, but i can tell you that ingesting a couple of grams is a whole different ball game than ingesting 1/8 or 1/4.
you need to realise that taking larger amounts can alter reality as you know it. e.g. what you see in front of you is probably not even remotely the same as what is really there, quite often you dont even realise that you havent even moved, youve just sat there with your eyes closed experiencing awsome visuals.
People can get really scared because they cant handle the intensity of the alternate reality.

And if youve got apprehensions about getting scared, then as cool as a secluded forest may sound to go tripping, i dont think your gonna like it. think for a second.

FOREST, DARK, SECLUDED, ALTERED REALITY - FUCKING SCARY.
i personally love trippin in forests and places like that because i love the intense feeling you get that your not alone, noises are everywhere and then theres complete silence, etc. and although it is scary, i still enjoy it. ( i was lucky enough to trip in the amazon jungle)

and in my opinion, take the chronic, but not
at your peak, start smoking a lttle when you start to feel the rising rush. usually around 45-60mins.

As ive said, i have only done drammaine for a 'physcedellic' experince before wich i know u guys think is crap but i wont do acid becuase im smart enough to know there is no real acid here and mushies are non exsitent in this small town. When i move out in a few months im defintely gona grow some though (any reccomendations for seeds). Ayways the point it i use to trip balls on drammamine alot and i loved bad scray trips! Sounds atupid but i loved the fear guys its so intense like being in a horror movie that makes no seanse. I didnt really want cow shit shrooms so i said no thanks. But what is the diffrence between cow shit shrooms and shrooms u grow from seeds?

Well first off, they are spores and not seeds . The only difference between the shit-shrooms and homegrowns is that the SS aren't going to be P. Cubenis. Also, be carefull with hunting shrooms. Some outdoors shrooms can kill you. Make sure they are very asuredly identified before eating. But there is nothing bad about magic mushies grown on shit. Don't worry about it, just wash a little and they are fine.

I'd recommend buying from thesporeworks or fanaticus. But use fanaticus's growing guide, it is almost failproof and widely respected.

Also, buy the syringes and not the prints.

First of all, shrooms come from SPORES not seeds. Fungi are more like animals than plants.

Second, p. cubenis shrooms grow ON COW SHIT.

I'm really surprised more people here don't know about (or talk about) Amanita Muscaria shrooms, since they're legal online, pretty cheap and can be extremely powerful.

Sorry heh, im not very educated on shrooms as there arent to many people selling them around here as i mentioned . I had no idea they werent seeds but that all cool. Anyways yes that was alot of help acually. Maybe since i live in cali and its still summer i cand find some cows shit that has shrooms. How would i go about identifying the mushie to make sure its good? Just look at pics on the net or what? This doesnt seem to full proof to me though.

Shrooms - i really want to try them but i know and i just know im going to scared. And that will probably alter my trip.

I did 1.75 grams or 1/16, ether way you wanna look at it. I did enjoy it, some of the effects i got were: geometric (especailly) patterns would breathe and would have new designs, i had a bit of a mind delay, also in the car everything seemed to go by fast, and when we made turns i felt it a few seconds after, lights were a little brighter, a little hilarity, distants sounds softer, multiple sounds were "squshed" together-not to much, still distinctable but also mixed, hard to think, all my thoughts inreprupted one another. slight visuals-red and green blimps when i closed my eyes and looked into the sunlight.

I was TOTALLY able to control myself in public. Any others say its OK or Not OK to go with 1/4.

and nosegoblin or any others, I take your word on it about not smoking weed on my peak, but how come? does it make it even more intense, or scary.

plus the only reason i meant to go to a forest was just to be away from the public, its a peaceful and nice forest i dont think I would be afraid of.

and my mindset is good, I'm really excited about it and think its gonna be great, not scared unless people keep telling me its a bad idea.

sorry i know i ask a lotta questions, but If i did 1/4, how do u think i would respond to it, ^^^^^I posted some backround of my previous experience up if n e of you didnt see it. Would they be bad symptoms like nausea, disiness, and/or good ones like great visuals and mood lift.

one last thing, WILL 1/4 LAST JUST as long as 1/16 but just more intense OR will it last quite a noticable amount longer.

dude, i would go for an eighth. youre talking about quadrupling your dose after only one experience. i dont suggest it. there have only been a handful of times that ive even munched a quarter all at once. usually i space it out over a night/night and a half. i would say that after one experience on 1/16 of an ounce is not a very realm foundation for entering the realm that 1/4 can create. you will most likely end up quite scared. ive even been scared of laughing before... and my mushroom experiences arent limited by any means.

some other advice about shrooms: find some respectable spores and grow them yourself! i was at a fesival recently and saw people selling quarters for $30! thats insane! the spores are easily available to all people, and for 30 bucks you could grow many, many times that amount and make prints that you can use for years to come! one single investment...

I had the best (shroom) trip in my life when I ate about a 1/4oz one night. I spend the whole night walking around town with spectrum glasses on looking at huge trees with christmas lights on them. It was amazing, my friend ate the same amount as me and we were histaricully laughing the whole night at completely non-funny jokes, but they were hilarious at the time. towards the middle of the the trip is when it started to get intense. My buddy threw up once and then we sat down on a tree down by the river and I couldnt move because I thought I had melted into the tree. I would look up at all the branches that were above me and there was beautiful neon rainbows coming out of all of the leaves. Then for a little while I was in cartoon land with colors swirling all around me. eventually I was able to stand and I stumbled my way home. On the way I would stop every time a car drove by and watch all the colorful tracers that came off of it.

I would say that it is a good dose if you are a really expeerienced tripper and they are good quality shrooms. it may be pretty intense for somebody that hasnt eaten a lot of pyschadelics in there life though, it may not be too good of a time

ok I decided to take one and a half eighths. i have 2 last questions for good

1. considering that it took me personally about 5 hrs to come down completely and be able to go home on the 1/16, how long would 3/16 be in a guess, to be "normal" enough again.

2. what will the effects be when smoking weed at the peak. i dont really wanna do it before hand because since I'm not that concerned about taking the edge off. just want to intensify it. or should I discard smoking like Nosegoblin said at my peak?

1. The average time of a complete trip is 6-8 hours. If you have a low threshold, it might take 9-10.

2. Smoking at the peak would intensify the trippage. But coordinating yourself to light up a bowl ( and not getting spaced out by your lighter) is really hard on intense trips. Smoke within 30 minutes of noticing you are comming down and you should reach the peak again for a while.

In my opinion, theres not much point to smoking at the peak, its not that its scary,its just that (again in my opinion) the increase in intensity is more or less insignificant. Basically what im trying to say is that you may aswell just let the peak take you along, if you feel like a smoke, then by all means go for it, but dont make yourself a plan of smoking during the peak. just let the mushies do their job.
And if you still want to do it, then i suggest you roll a couple of nice blunts to overcome the problem of preparing a bowl.
you still might get spaced out by the lighter though but itll all be in GOOD fun.

hey buddy, let me tell you something that you will realize after you eat that much.... you gonna be so fucked at your peak that you wont even want to smoke pot then. save it for when your coming down. it makes the visuals better and kinda gives your dying trip a little kick. trust me, expecially if this is your first time eating that much.

Acidmelt, i totally understand that eating more intensifies it, (duh right, 101) well i want to know does it make the trip substantially longer? if so how much longger? since i did 1/16, and from the time i ate, 5 hrs later i was walking homw perfect. what would 3/16-1/4 be like?

Weed doesn't noticably affect the time it takes for the psilocybin to exit your system. In other words, it doesn't affect the length of the trip, just brings back what you've lost for a while.
