sounds like withdrawl to me... what kind of opiates are you takin? you have to be more specific, opiates could be heroin or hydrocodone... big difference.

I hoped you mean the nothing hard as a joke, and if those symptoms are happening to you you have probably got withdrawls, but if you also have a stiff neck or back you might have maninjitus/maninjacokol (sorry bad spelling).

quite pathetic, but yeah, i get like that, to the extreame. I can take 15 milligrams of hydrocodone and i'll be more spaced out than tokin' up some weed...its wierd.

I agree, it sounds like withdrawl. There is one real quick and easy way to find out: do these things stop when you take smoe more?

Also, any opiate is hard. though some are not as hard as others. Anything that can cause addiction is hard, in my book.

and you refer to oxycontins as not hard. are you familliar with OC??? do you know how close to heroin OCs are?? youre having withdrawls, it sounds like, but if you were that addicted you would be taking more than 15mgs of hydrocodone. i rarely take them anymore but i still take 50mgs. 15 is not even breaking the threshold...

By your definition of addiction I assume you mean physical addiction? Cause psychological addiction is actually worse in my mind since theres no physical withdrawl to give you a wake up call but thats my opinion. Also caffiene is physically addicting so is nicotine... are these HARD DRUGS? Last question why do I love being an ass like this so much? Not really trying to piss yah off man just wanted to point a few things out...

he said "cranky, shakey, and sensitive to light" that would indicate physical addiction/withdrawl to me. there is a thread around here somewhere about how actually powerful nicotine is, and alot of resposes indicaed that others view it as a powerful substance, however tainted it may be after all the shit they do to it before you smoke a cig. another indicator on my stance to nicotine would be that fact that i dont smoke cigs or use any type of tobacco. im sure that it has been adequately documented and argued that nicotine is a harsh chemical to deal with.

i disagree with your stance on addictions as well. however annoying a mental addiction to something is i think that it is easier to get over than a physical addiction. with a mental addicton a strong mind can usually move on, if given proper stimuli, and time management. a physical addiction/withdrawl can be debilitating for days sometimes even weeks. vomit. shakes. sweats. hot flashes. cold chills. inability to function. bedridden. all your money spent. along with the mental shit.

furthermore, anyone who would be ignorant enough to believe that Oxycontin is not powerful enough to show you these classic withdrawl symptoms and more should not be using them.

but 15mgs to get high does not indicate addiction, you can build a steady tolerance to all opiates, and given the time that it would take to become that addicted you would be using alot more than 15mgs of OC and way more mgs of hydrocodone.

The strong mind can usually move on what I was trying to say is that with a psychological addiction MOST dont relize the extent of there addiction untill they are much deeper into it than with a physical addiction since the physical withdrawl symptoms seem to be a big clue that your gittin addicted. That was my only point.

the oxys are stronger. rec doses depend on use, for someone who hasnt used them id estimate about 20mgs of oxy will fuck you up quite nicely. hydros at about 30mgs. these estimates may be high, ive used alot of them in the past. tolerances are easily formed.

The first time i EVER used n e opiates, it was oxys, 80 mgs worth......omg woahhhhhh. *Smiles*

If you took an 80mg oxycontin you wouldn't be all "smiles". You'd be nodding in and out for a couple days, especially if you ate it. I know someone who ate half an 80mg oxycontin and was "out of it" for two and a half days.
