how much powdered dxm(in grams or mg) should i take for my first dxm trip? i would like to have fairly detailed visions, and maybe an out of body experence. how much should i take? i already know about the liquid and gel cap forms all i want to know is pure powdered DXM.

well lemme start by saying you are gonna have more than just FAIR visuals at a dosage that could potentiate an 'outer body experience'.

Moderate visuals are normally start around 300 mgs for average size males.

Outer body experiences are more in the neighborhood of 1000-2000 mg.

2500 is listed as the LDlo(lowest recorded lethal dose) at erowid. On another site, a government one, it says 150mg/kg is the LD50 for human males(median lethal dose). Be careful if you ever aim for that outer body thing. Good weed could help possibly, i'm not sure you might wanna look into other chemical potentiators of dextromethorphan hydrobromide.

ive been doing dxm on an off for about a year now, so i guess im pretty experienced with it. IF your new to it, u definately wanna work your way up an make sure u can handle small dosages before going 'out of body'. If u read the FAQ, u know that theres somethign like 5% of the population that lacks the enzyme to break down dxm in the brain. itd be good if u didnt die on ur first trip. if u wanna measure, get a good electronic scale, thats the only way to really go. tolerance builds after a while, so i couldnt really reccomend how much u shoudl take as compared to me. the only out of body experieces ive ever ahd was when i was first doign it an took 1800mg over the course of a day, problem was i remembered nothign after the experience so i guess im no help there

The largest dose I ever took was about 740mgs and that was high for me. I would trod lightly, because out of body experiences are not that fun. In fact, an out of arm experience can be quite spooky.

Yeah i think you should really start low. Start with a 1p, then go to a 2p, then to a 3p. If you could handle 3p just fine and you liked it (i personlally hate 3 and 4p trips), then go on to 4p. Find how many mg's you need by using a dosage calculator.
