What is the most efficient way to smoke pot and not waste THC?

At first I was scared but this is actually a valid question. There was actually a study done on this a few years back that included everything from a joint to a bong to a vaporiser. In the end a good old joint amazingly came out on top and this is in scientific studies.

This is just a reply to back you up dude, yes i read up on that study awhile ago. I think it was about the healthiest way to smoke however. They used a Joint, Bong, and Vaporizer also. It was found that the joint was healthier than the bong because the water filters out THC along with carcinogens, therefor you have to smoke more, therefor you take in more carcinogens to get high, the healthiest was GREAT weed in a joint i am guessing. But I don't know much about vaporizers so...

What about a can or a pipe? And doesn't joints waste smoke b/c they keep burning?

Joints wasted weed yes, but have been shown to be the healthiest way. I would never roll up good nug in a joint. I would think glass would be even healthier than a J.

A joint? A joint is the least healthiest, and not very effective.

A bong does not absorb thc when filled with water because thc is not soluble in water for there is no hydrocarbons in water. Hence, it is a stupid idea to fill it with alcohol- the stronger the alcohol, the less high you get because the more thc the bong fluid absorbs

a pipe is yet another example of direct flame application, over-heating the thc, therefore destroying most of it. Tilt-pipes you heat from the outside. Homemade tilt-pipes are commonly referred to as meth or crack pipes; why do you think they are heated from the outside? Because even a crackhead knows direct flame application destroys most of a psychoactive chemical, even when stored in an oil form in a plant resin. The same goes for bongs, which leaves me at....

Vaporizers... they have them for a reason. Most drugs are smoked out of them for a reason. People don't set hcl crystals such as dmt on fire and watch them smolder or even combust, HELL NO, that would destroy most of what your fuckin smoking. Ya wanna hit your bp, and thats fuckin it, straight up and out. Direct flame application sux ass. You can set up an experiment yourself to test a vaporizer and inquire with me in a new post entitled 'lightbulb control' if ya wanna know how.

Joints, DO burn at a lower temperature, closer to the boiling point(bp) of thc, thus not destroying AS MUCH thc in theory, BUT however continuously burn, SO you really aren't getting all your $$$ worth(but weed is so cheap, who the fuck cares).

A good medium for thc economization is joints with small amounts of hash in them or with a few drops of hash oil, which will especially prolong their burn time, but must be hit harder to get to the oil before it evaporates from the heat being given off by the cherry. It is trully amazing. Vaporizers, portable straight pipes, a.k.a. tilt pipes, or homemade if your cheap 'meth-pipes' heated from the outside to boil out as much thc from the weed as possible work extraordinarily well, providing an adequate 2 person high off of a quarter nick equivalent of about 3/4 gram of good bud or schwag dipped in hash oil in the same dry weight(this worked for sublimer77 and I sunday night very well, i might add on a VERY small amount equivalent of 2 bowl packs of a piece with a bowl head a little bigger than a 1-hitter). After the weed has successfully been boiled and the VAPORS inhaled(you wont feel much going in, and wont blow anything out, remember its a VAPOR, you arent destroying plant material here) you can always cook up the plant material and shit just to be sure with a direct flame like you would normally do, OR since the weed has not been touched and has very little physical markings in which it is hard to tell the thc has been boiled from it and inhaled by a person; resell it to someone ya dont like, and/or don't really know(do at your own risk, it wont get them very high if at all but will smell just like weed, so dont pass ANYTHING off as anything bud schwag).

I was just recalling what I had read a LONG time ago. I agree that just vaporing the THC would be healthiest because it is not burned right?

I thought for some reason he was looking for healthiest or sumthing when I first read this. I was only saying that is what one study I read a while back stated. However they also failed to take in many otherfactors such as wasted weed or heat of vapor/smoke entering your lungs. Thus is why I still prefer the bong or the vaporizer for the most part. Gotta get myself a good vaporizer though my friends think of me as too much of a crack head when I bust out a lightbulb works fine though.

don't know if anyone has said this but, its called gravity!

get a 1.25lt bottle
fix up the lid so you can put a pipe in there and seal it. then fill the bottle half way up then close the lid. put the weed in the pipe, and put a small hole in the bottom of the bottle, put your lighter next to the weed, as the water at the bottom falls out it sucks the smoke, once there is no water in the bottle, open it up and try to suck all the smoke up in one puff, breathe in and out really deeply three or four time before you do it. its the best way of doing it!!

but the best way of smoking, imo,
is spotting
u get a 1.25 litre plastic bottle
and cut the end off
then u heat 2 flat knives red hot
get a friend to put a tiny piece of
bud on 1 knife and squash with other knife
meanwhile u put cut end of bottle over
knives and inhale smoke
heaps of thick smoke
works better than bucket/gravity bongs

there's art, and there is pothead shit.

The method lostandconfused used is, I think, fairly crap. It is a modification of a bucket. If you don't know how to make + pull a bucket, then listen.

Take a 1 litre and a 2 litre bottle (doesn't have to be those exact sizes, just make sure that one bottle is smaller than the other...). Cut the BOTTOM off the smaller bottle, and cut the TOP off the larger bottle, just on the line where they start to curve inwards.

Fill up the larger bottle (the base) with water, and place your tinnie/gauze on the top of the opening of the smaller bottle (where the cap should be...).

Gently push your bottle into the base, so the watermoves up to just about an inch below the tinnie/gauze. Burn your weed in, then start burning it, while slowly pulling the bottle up, drawing the smoke into the bottlewhen the bottle is nearly comind out of the water, take the tinnie off, take the bottle JUST out of the water, and inhale.

I'd just like to say that this is by no means the healthiest wat of smoking weed, and actually fucks your head up, but it is a great instant hit.

Personally, I prefer spliffs, because they are much more sociable, and you cn pass 'em round.

i'll show you a very good way of making buckets. knowlage passed on by a mate of mine.

what you need:
-large bucket with water
-2 litre bottle + lit
-aluminium foil
-sewing needle
-candle
-something to hold hot foil

instructions:
-cut the bottom of the bottle off.
-make a lit out of the foil. (this is the hard bit.) fold foil over a few times so it gets stronger. place it on top of the bottle. shape it into the shap of a lit. make the top dent inwards a bit. press the foil tightly to the bottle at all sides. now slowly and carefully screw the original lit of the bottle over the foil. unscrew again. now the foil has the shape of the lit and can be screwed and unscrewed over and over again.
-use needle to poke holes at the top of the foil.
-the alu. foil contains chemicals. you need to burn the foil very good before you use it. use a candle. hold the foil with a tool so you dont burn your fingers (duh). burn all sides. stop when the foil stops smoking.

how to use it:
-put bottle in bucket with water. the water should fill 3/4 of the bottle.
-screw lit on and fill with weed
-light it. at the same time slowly pull the bottle up. the smoke will be sucked in.
-when the bottle is all the way up and full of weed, take lit off.
-breath out all your air. put your mouth at the lit and press bottle down into the water. at the same time inhale. start of fast and go slow at the end. (or you will have a mouth full of water).
-hold smoke in as long as you can.

you now have two liters (dont quote me on this) of weed in your lungs!

What lost described I know as a waterfall bong kinda an on the go gravity/bucket bong but not quite the same.
