Default Feel Better?

So I just couldn't regard this as spurious and so here it is in the forumn somewhat connected to the topic.

Timothy McVeigh is dead.

Are you glad?

Have you any opinions on the death penalty or

Mr. McVeigh himself?

I'm not quite sure what to expect from totseer's since there are so many names I don't recognize, but it sure would be good to get a feel for all the various points of view that might come from all of you. C'mon

mcviegh had a great cause that most of us(at least in bad ideas) probally all share he just spread word the wrong way, if he was to destroy the building without hurting anybody and declare his point of war upon the government he would have had more support from the people, but he did it and injured people while he did it which loses the support of the majority of the people, which is what he needed, so lets go blow up the white house, lets just make sur nobodies in there

Neo seemed to state it well. He screwed up killing people especially the day care center that he as far as I know claimed untill his death he was unaware that it was in the building.

I dont think he should have been executed. One its alot worse of a punishment to rot in prison death is an easy escape and what he wanted and had planned for to happen to him. ALSO the whole F.B.I. "forgetting" to release some 5000+ documents of evidence to the defence just doesnt sit right with me even if he did do it Im dissapointed more wasnt done with this. I hate the majority of people in this country are just ignorent little lambs being led down a path to less and less freedom everyday. Im not saying the government is entirely horrible and evil but people need to relize how its taking small steps so that most dont notice them much like any great radical motion is enacted without noticing such as Hitlers plans of Genocide and conquering the world I know this example may seem a bit extreame though.

I don't know about any of that, but I found the whole blood lust of people wanting his death chilling. Possibly because I understand how many of them can feel that way...

But, you guys know there are a large number of Americans who really get into executions even when they're not involved in the case in any way? They go out to the prison with signs that say "Rot in Hell" and such. That really frightens me. Makes me want to go live in a bunker with automatic weapons and 20 tons of amunition.

cuz everybody loves killing, its just a taboo so they dont like the killers. in the Victorian era prostitutes and misteresses were very popular and had calling cards and everything, every wealthy man had some sluts, but it was a taboo cuz it was against the faiths under the "christanity" bullshit so it was all behind closed doors.

yesterday in math we were discussing the execution and i brought up what i said in my last post but related it to canadians and how violence/destruction is the only way to get the government to listen this is prettywell how it went heheheh

"cuz us canadians are fukin panzie asses.....ohhh your gonna raise the gas price by $.30 over night and say the increased profit comes from the sale of chips and pop....ohhh you fucking us up the ass again...ok..im a canadian and i suck,so when im done suckin your dick...here illl bernd over for you right noww...oohhhhh i love the big fukin cok of the gov ohhhh."

and then we talked about how americans actually defend themselves and when the govs cok comes near the hold up a knif and say back offf or lose it

governments piss me off if you didnt notice

Ouch!....now you tell me.

I think what he did was rotten and can see how the people who wanted him to die for it
would feel like that.
Also, the concept of life w/o parole @ hard labor is interesting.
I don't believe in the death penalty, but then I'm weird and that makes me incapable
of having a valid opinion, seriously. I know if it was someone close to me, I'd believe real quick, or not...I don;t know and you don't care...
But in the interest of supporting strength of conviction, if he felt that what he was doing was the only way to really effect some palpatable jab at the gov't and have a forumn
to air his grievances, then unfortunately I
suppose he succeeded.

It's too bad there wasnt some nicey nicey thing that could have been said to make him all better simply by it's being spoken. That's a bitch!

How many of you would go to war for our country knowing you were likely to die?
Does anyone believe so much in anything that they would die for it?
Something weird happened to that sort of vehement loyalty. Maybe Nihilistic would...
I dunno. But then again I never saw the grand
appeal of being an op, so whatever.

embibe in fecal matter, that's what indifference basically affords, of course
unless you've got somebody to take care of you, that is. Then you can just spout and spout. See?

Well he definatly had his plan go EXACTLY the way he wanted it too even in making the government look foolish since the F.B.I. was dumb enough to try to hide some 5000+ documents even though he would have mostlikely been convicted anyways even if he was totally innocent in cases like that people NEED a scape goat and fast.

I don't believe in the death penalty; no matter what one did to be believed worth while of such an endeavor. I think that life is precious, and should not be taken away in that since. If someone does kill someone, I think that not only will they be tormented by their own conscience (<--- unless their blood-crazy) but the shadow casted on them from that crime will forever alienate them from society. I think that better solutions can be thought up of as a reprimand, such as being locked up for life, going through extensive therapy, having a mediation with the people who you've hurt by killing one of their loved ones, etc. Timothy McVeigh screwed up, but I don't believe he deserved death as a penalty.

The death penalty is sort of like a manifestation of the vast hypocracy and
double standard bullshit which, god bless america, is the way our government has grown
or maybe was designed to legislate our morals
while we seek more or less instant gratification.

I mean people will say collectively that such and such is wrong there will be a collective nod, but actually each individual feels special and somehow as long as there is a law and a govt. to enforce it somewhere, then they can do whatever they please.

Moreover if caught doing whatever it is, they will denounce the system which is treating special them unfairly even though until they were on the other side of it, things were peachy.
I think that the corruption in polititcs is today, so much a given and for the mostpart accepted, or going on at a level that the average citizen isn't aware of and couldn't be even if he was to try to, I think that for
taking a position that garners such prestige and larger than life responsibility, the politicians are almost justified in getting away with what they get away with.

They spout about morals and ethics and then you hear about how their morals and ethics are more scandulous than most criminals you might be acquainted with.
I think that as long as the american people are willing and desirious of abiding the injustices that the underprivelegded face and reaping the rewards of business and legal practices which allow them a small piece of that political sort of power, then they ought to be willing to let the politicians carry on as they please.
Of course thats bullshit, but that is what happens, nobody wanting to make a serious complaint against the govt if really ever given any noteriety, all the channels are available sure, but I'd bet that actually trying to take issue with the govt could make a person, well remember Viper? He was realy mad, and I bet he had some pretty good reasons among other things.

So the disparity between the day to day life opf the govt and the day to day life of the people is more or less insurmountable, back to my point which is that when the gov't carries out the death sentence it is like a meeting of the two along a road.
The gut level blood lust for revenge or what ever you want to call it meets up with the
all powerful, rotten to the core, takes one to know one and all hail plausible deniability!, etc etc

And for the moment when the govt on behalf of the people takes a life we are elevated to a
heady power our will being carried out and they are lowered to the base, animalistic gut level murderers that normally exist only in the general populace.

Things are the same kind of backwards as usual only the other way around. Instead of believeing that the govt. is very corrupt and needs to be taken to task in a way bigger than anybody is willing to do, nonethless the injustices that the govt perpetrates on a regular basis might be called criminal, if we could somehow know the magnitude of them maybe we would rise up! but that would take so much effort.

Instead we are lucky enough to have our cake and eat it to. No one really cares about the people who died in that explosion except the people who loved them, that is fairly normal.
I don;t see any body getting all choked up when a stranger dies violently or is murdered on an individual basis, do you?

So if one equates the degree to which our govt is deceiving us, notwithstanding how easy for them we make it, and the degree of blatant shock and terror that that might seem to at least ought to arouse in us-equates it to the degree of blatant shock and terror that the bombing created, well we have two totally seperate and unrelated instances of shock and terror. One is hypothetical, the gov't is a little angel and corruption is unheard of y'know? The other is a deservedly well publicixzed tradgedy.

It might be said that McVeigh was honorable, a person who had strongly held convictions on which he could be counted to support. We would like our gov't to have such convictions and barring the unfortunate instances when someone in the gov gets busted being a regular person, gov't puts on the holieer than thou hat and proceeds on in its way, which in reality is all fucked up and in need of a big overhaul, maybe even , well.

It is funny to think that it is easier for americans to believe in their govt. even knowing that it is increasingly less than of a noble fabric and instead say of mcVeigh point? what point? kill him , and carry on as you were.

It is a shame that all those people lost their lives, it's a shame Tim Mcveigh could not in any other way feel his message would be heard, it's a shame he thought that if it was heard it would matter.

The govt in this instance may seem like the
righteous adminitrator of justice to some, to me it seems more like a really really scary
character who normally you wouldn'nt ever
expect to see in real life who suddenly shows up in your bedroom with a machete and offers to help put an end to the trouble in your love life or something.

sorry if this was too long, but not really
if you wasted your time reading it, you;ve no one to blame but yourself. coherent?, not if i can help it.

there better be some pizza left.
