regular and nitrous flush red phos
What is the difference in the methods of producing red phos the old fashion way and producing it with nitrogen flush.....is there a significant difference in the phos or is it pretty much the same, in terms of reactions?

Re: regular and nitrous flush red phos
Ok I feel i need to clarify myself a little more. Is the nitrogen used as a reducer to yield white phos into red phos? And if so,Do you still need to apply heat or is nitrogen a strong enough reducing agent?
Is the red phos from this method the favorable type to use in reacting with iodine than the red phos yielded from boiling white phos?
