but even though that is average I have seen joints sold for 15 and 1 dollar, I have seen grams sold for 10 bucks and never auctually saw but I heard my friend once bought a gram of some awsome weed for 40 bucks.

but prices vary from place to place even grower to grower and dealers to.

like small growers who are just starting out often sell weed cheep, not that the weed is no good just they want to sell a lot of product because they grew way more than they need for themselves.

but then big time comercial growers sell for higher prices because they put a lot of time money and effort into there crops and they are producing some of the best weed that can be mass produced.

i pay like 20 bucks for an 8th of an ounce. so like 5 grams not includeing the baggy. and it usually weighs out to 7 or 8 cause i watch my dealer weigh it in front of me. thats just normal compressed bud. and here recently i can get a quarter O' for 35 whereas normally i'd have to pay 40. for a full ounce of some decent compressed i'd pay 110-120.

an 8th is 3.5 grams

i just finished a batch of hash oil in my hotel room on a coffee maker there last night. It even yeilded some solid hash i dried out and let clay up(just a tad). dipped tons of cigs in it and smoked them with my date while walking around the hotel- how sweet is that, you cant smell it over the tobacco. Vaporized some through a bulb too. Fun Fun Fun.

Even if you get 7 grams cos you specal doesn't mean your 8th's are 7 grams it just means that you get 7 grams for $X... An 8th is 3.5 gram however much he likes you that ain't going to change, he will just give you more than an 8th...

where i live (montreal) we usually pay around 10$ (canadian) per gram. an ounce of high quality shit is 170$ (yet again in canadian) . you americans should visit canada
