Does anyone know where to purchase wood alcohol? I need it for "experiments". By the way, I'm not stupid---I know better than to drink it.

hardware stores- its a paint thinner/stripper. HEET anti freeze(must be distilled out of it)

that was post-prohibition as well. it was know as squeezing or something, where they dipped bread in it and sqeezed it out and i cant remember if they drank the sqeezed fluid or just ate the bread. i just know my dads parents owned 3 stores in philly and poor people used to die off from doin it that way, it just took longer, LOL.

methanol is also like 30%(?) of gasohol which most cars can run on, but it needs to be distilled out of it. Most cars made and designed in the early 90s semi-energy crisis)like my old hyundai [R.I.P.] were made to be able to run on the stuff as well as gasoline. gasohol- im pretty sure they dont sell it at gas stations anymore though.

no, gasohol is definately methanol and gasoline. even says in my old cars owners manual under the fuel capacity/parameters.
