I've heard so much about how seed suppliers coat their Morning Glory seeds with some kind of poison, and I was wondering if anyone had any useful information on this. I would especially like it if one of you had actually used treated Morning Glory seeds and became ill to tell me about it. Also, what companies coat their seeds, and which don't?

Heres the best thing to do if you have the time and ambition. You buy the seeds even if there COVERED in poison as long as there still viable to GROW THE PLANT from then start a small crop and harvest thier seeds yearly. "Why youd want them is beyond me, wink wink"

Yeah, I was going to do that, but I decided that I want them now for 'studies'. Besides, I live in the concrete jungle, so it'd be pretty hard to grow 15' vines anywhere. But thanks anyway.

There are also plenty of store that sell them knowing that there going to be used for "studies" so they dont coat them problem is finding those stores look around a little bit also have you tried looking for baby hawaian rosewood seeds cant these also be used?

I found sample plants for sale for you at a very good site www.greenstranger.com but look around for other sites or you could e-mail them requesting seeds possibly also its Hawaiian Baby Woodrose that can also be used for "Studies" just hope you chemically competent enough and have proper set up to perform such studies not as easy as on may think also BE VERY CAREFULL HANDLING IT AND WITH DOSAGE as you probably already knew. The guy who first stumbled upon it by accident in a lab absorbed a small spilled bit through his thumb went home expierience odd stimulation chalked it up to only being from what he was working with and ingest what he thought was a small dose was found wandering the mountains a few days later.

woa there, the poisons aren't deadly and are easy to remove there guys. Soak the seeds in warm water because it won't remove the potential lysergic acid amides in the seeds. even if you ate the seeds in the correct trip dosage without removing the coating(not suggested AT ALL), you still shouldn't get severly sick because you wouldn't ingest enough poison to be severe. Hear that? WARM WATER SOAK. Yea, that's about it. Maybe a short methanol or ethanol wash, but not too long, and then you'd wanna rise them thoroughly with water. If you don't already have the seeds i can give you some places to get them where they wont have coatings besides that stupid one from the anarchists cookbook that probably isnt reliable like the rest of the material in that piece of shit book.
