I made one once using only a 386 laptop, a copy of Borland Turbo C, a 25 way male D connector, a length of wire, 2 LED's, 2 resistors and an old pair of plastic sunglasses (and of course the obligatory sticky tape). Half a gram of a certain stimulant and 2 hours later, there it was. I'm thinking of doing a rewrite and producing some diagrams.
