Man...As far as i can tell...This is the first step in her becoming goth...And i dont know...I dont know why...I just dont like it very much...

But i just dont know about the whole goth thing.
Dont get me wrong...She is a very pretty and cute girl...But im worried goth will mess up her looks...

i myslef am not goth, but i think gothic chicks are cute...if she is good people, and just doing the goth thing for looks stick with it...if she gets all freaky in bed and starts cutting herself, i dunno bout all that

So she dyed her hair black. Your point? It's hair. It's superficial shit. There are people who dig dressing up goth-style, maybe hang out in goth clubs and listen to NIN and Rammstein there, but they remain the people they were before for the most part. Not all goths are wannabe vampires or completely fucked out of their minds. You already said you still think she's hot, so if the only significant changes she makes are superficial ones, it shouldn't make a huge deal. At worst, if you really don't like it, you could see if she'd be willing to chill with some normal clothes when it's just you two, something like that.

Then again, if you don't really like her *that* much, and the goth look turns you off completely, you could dump her. Kinda short-sighted, though.. if she dresses that way constantly, it won't last forever. It could last a fair length of time, though.

Assuming that doesn't happen, all you need to pay attention to is the way she's acting. It's possible she will turn into one of those super-crazy goth types that are convinced they're vampires or whatever. In my personal experience, the ones that tend to get a little too out there with the goth thing are guys, so you probably don't have to worry too much about that. Just see what happens.

My girlfriend is Goth, and she will try to change you into it, if you dont go along with it, shell find a guy more into the goth scene, shes trying to change and she needs you to change or shell eventuall drop you and go with some marilyn manson wanna be kid. happens all the time..

okay i may not be a guy yet i can give some insight on this topic. i was a goth i died my hair and wore the make up and wore nothing but black close i did this because i wanted to show every one that i was my own person and i did not want to be like every one eles. i never tryed to get my b/f to change goth or any thing like that i did make him sit there and hear the music that i liked i never got lost in the goth life style like cuting my self and every thing i did get in to wicca and studyed vampiers. never be came a vampier though i do not think that you have any thing to fear about er change hell it is norm for people to go through stuff like that. i think if you care any thing about this girl you shoud stand behind her and ride this out. it will pass.

Ok you still like her right. So whats the problem she has black hair now . Women dye their hair all the time not to mention men too. As far as not liking her because shes into "goth" now well is she the same person? Does she act the same around you ? Heh - so she died her hair black, you do know black is a natural hair color as well right? Not all people born with black hair are goths, not all people with dyed blackhair are goths.

Frankly, my last girlfreind was a goth, not just for the looks or anything, she had naturally black hair and pale skin, so she looked like a goth anyway, but it was her personality, if your girl completly changes her personality to be dark and cynicle (as alot of goths i know are, but they are fun), and you don't like that, then you leave her, otherwise, the clothes shouldn't matter. Plus - goths are hot.

Except the ones that slit their wrists for fun and stuff..(i know goths like this), everything is good in moderation.

And punks are hot so are goths for that matter

In all honesty, i would rather stand out from the public, than look like the rest of it, i'm a punk, by most peoples words, and no, i don't friggin' shop at hot topic, i make my own clothes, so i can't be told i'm just one of the millions trying to be unique and ending up the same.

I'm sort of a goth chick, I used to cut myself you know the whole self-mutiliation thing. My ex/bf/we like eachother a whole lot but not going out cause we fight, person, didn't really mind it. I mean, I dled some punk songs and aske dhim to listen to some, and he liked some. If he didn't like others i'm just like its cool. I dress goth and stuff, but not all the time, and he doesn't care. (I went from normal to goth) as long as I have the same personality

So what I'm saying..if she changes her personality, then you should dump her (unless you like em). If she doesn't, just gets new interests, then its kew.

I was fucking born with the whole stereotypical goth set up. I have naturally jet-black hair, palish skin, dark (and im told piercing) eyes, i have worn dark clothes ever since i can remember, and even act slightly like goths do (have been since like elementary school) but i dont really consider myself goth or really even want to be but for some reason im like fucking naturally drawn to it. AHHHH! Although i must agree that goth chicks do tend to be pretty hot and i have an advantage i can infiltrate their ranks un-noticed and hang with the hots ones without feeling awkward about looking different from all the people around and having them hate me or stare at me for being different from them.

What are you in the relationship for? Just Looks or do you actually like her? If you actually care for her than try to ignore the goth shit, if you don't like it you don't have to join in. And it is a phase she will eventually come out of.
Oh and you can't dye your hair PERMENANTLY.

I find some although very few gothic type girls to be hot. Everyone has different types of their "ideal girlfriend" that is to be expected.
