Sexually Compulsive Co-Eds
moderators - found this mooching around on the web and thought it might amuse - papapelikan
*findings during the 130th Annual Meeting of the American Public Health Association*
.. one of the new reports, . looked solely at the behaviors of young women who were classified as sexually compulsive. In the study, the investigators surveyed 561 female students attending a Midwestern university, giving them a questionnaire that addressed sexual compulsivity along with other issues. For example, students were asked if their appetite for sex interfered with their relationships, or if they ever wanted sex so badly they felt they could lose control. Female students were determined to have a tendency toward sexual compulsivity if their ratings on the sexual compulsivity questions fell within the highest 20% of the group. Based on this classification, Cole and her team determined that 45 students, or 8% of the women, had relatively high levels of sexual compulsivity.

Re: Sexually Compulsive Co-Eds
How is that amusing? I'm sure that more than 50% of males would fall into that catagory based on said questionaire.
I actually think it's sad how American culture objectifies sex and makes it seem a solution to problems faced in life.
Sex, as an act, is nothing more than my firing a stone to reduce it. As a process, it is much more, but can only be fully realized in a relationship.
*Yes sex feels good to the fragile, but does it improve those made of glass?*

Re: Sexually Compulsive Co-Eds
right on Z3M - what I found amusing is american tendancy to take everything very seriously and indeed categorise - you know these people have advanced degrees - live and work in distinguished institutions of higher learning and are paid salary and expenses to attend such congresses and conduct such research -

Re: Sexually Compulsive Co-Eds
Sex isn't a solution in and of itself to problems, but it can relax and de-stress to an extent where it's easier to figure out said problems.
Of course, find the wrong person to bonk, and it can cause more problems, but that'd be more the fault of the people involved than the sex itself.
It'd still be nice if people would just chill out about it, though. I was at a cabin for the weekend with some friends, and we played truth or dare. If you didn't want to answer a question/do a dare, you took a shot of JD. I asked one girl how many guys she'd slept with, and she drank instead- with a pretty bad reaction to the stuff. That question shouldn't have been such a big deal.

Re: Sexually Compulsive Co-Eds
Spiffy - Point well taken - and taken to an absurd extreme by - the Public Health Institute *research team determined that 45 students, or 8% of the women, had relatively high levels of sexual compulsivity.* (randiness ?) should we read that as being 8% who are mature enough to answer the sort of questions raised in your game at the cabin -------

Re: Sexually Compulsive Co-Eds
Not necessarily. In fact, most of that 8% may very well have taken the JD. Just because they're all over the cock doesn't mean they're inclined to share that news with the rest of the world.
