But she had to have AT LEAST 4 to 6 years of college before she could teach in high school. At a minimum that would put her age at 21 or 22, and more likely 23 to 25. I know a few teachers, and believe it or not, they do have blood pumping through their veins. Your teacher probably isn't twenty, but you could be not that far off. My college has a five year masters in education program. So, a first year teacher out of my school would typically be between 22 and 24. If she's a student teacher she could be even younger. She she's not completely out of your league age wise; maybe she is as far as maturity goes, but the age difference is not too great.

Still, you could both get into a shitload of trouble. While you probably don't have much to lose, the teacher does. She knows this. My friends that teach high school have a look but do not touch policy. That's probably where she is. So pine away for her if you'd like, but it probably wouldn't be good to bring it up. If you leave that school and run into her on the street somewhere, then maybe you have a shot.

A full-fledged teacher in her first year could be 20 or 21 years old. I've met one that I'm aware of.. hell, she was still living at home at the time. Hard studying, graduate a semester early from high school and/or college, and if you can get a job immediately, it's very possible.

And while a teenage guy who sleeps with his teacher can get a lifetime of bragging rights, he can also get his ass suspended or expelled, depending on how much of a hardass the one who decides punishment is. The teacher can get in much more trouble, absolutely, but the kid would have to have a few guardian angels (like highly influential relatives) to get out of that scot-free.

Just to add, it depends where you are. You can finish school in Australia at 17. 18 is "ussually" but about 1/3 of final year student will turn 18 at university. (As 18 is our legal age for driving / drinking etc... well it makes thing sinteresting, but that soff topic). Anyway Uni here is 3 years for most degrees. Law and Med are 5, both then have interships. Engineering is 4 years. Everything is generally 3... including teaching. Finish at 17, graduate university with your degree at 20... get your first job... yip its possible alright.

As for going for her... maybe wait till the school year is out and THEN make a move. It's ethically at least must neater. Like tohers said though... be prepared for a no just in case

My friend Bob (yes, that's his real name lol) is going out with like one of the counselor-assistant ladies in the Counselor office. He is a senior, 18, and she is probably...hmm about 24-25 and VERY HOT. I'm not sure if the faculty knows of their relationship or not, I would assume they did though considering Bob is a linebacker and the biggest kid in school, usually people talk.

I'm not sure exactly the laws on it are. I know it IS illegal for a legal adult to date a minor, but it's not illegal if the kid is 18.

However, I would imagine the school would have by-laws or a "code of conduct" prohibiting it whether he's 18 or not. Oh well, if you want to take the risk of being rejected, go for it. Just remember: if she really doesn't like you, and you get rejected, she could be one of those women who take offense to things like that and then hold a grudge against you the rest of the year, and possibly tell other teachers about it.
