Ive got this friend,named Gary, who has some kind of wierd fetish where he actually likes to eat poop, he has his weird girlfriens poop and then he eats some of it....what the hell is wrong with him? this is a totally serious post...this guy needs some serious help ..he's told me that hes even ate his own poop before? does anyone know wtf is wrong with him? and where he can get some help? Is this dangerous to his health?

He's not unique. As far as the health concerns, it would seem logical that eating feces would be bad for you, but just what could happen (my guess is stomach problems due to bacteria) is best explained by a doctor.

Well first of all there shouldn't be anything wrong with this Gary. I think shit eating is disgusting though. If shit-eaters are eating shit because they're turned on by feeling dirty or degraded (which seems the likeliest subconsciously symbolic attachment), then shit-eaters should be willing to acknowledge that eating shit is, in point of fact, disgusting. And while the human impulse to fetishize feet or shit may be the same at bottom, discussing the sight, smell, and taste of feet elicits a very different reaction from a non-foot-fetishist than a shit-eating discussion elicits from a non-shit-eater. Deal with it. Having said that, shit as you know is chock-full of bacteria, viruses and other nasty shit(pardon the pun). That's why the body wants it out. People have gone to hospitals and have died after this sort of practice. So if I were you I would be concerned and would talk to him about why he does it and make sure he knows the health risks.

You certianly can get sick. Feces contains a lot of E coli, which doesn't bother your large intestine so much, but can reek hell on your stomach and small intestine.

Certian people do have a higher resistance to certian germs. I'm guesing that you are practialy swimming in e coli antibodies.
