Mostly decisions like that are to do with religion. I know it's the Christian belief to "keep the marriage bed pure" and all that.

I should know... I'm Christian...

Although... That little rule didn't last long. But I don't regret it one bit.

What if the sex was terrible after you married? It could lead to affairs, and depression...and divorce! Unless it wasn't that important to those involved.

I know a couple who got married recently, been together since highschool, at least.. ohh probably 5 or 6 years, and they didn't have sex until they got married.. They did everything BUT have intercourse, but for that they waited..

So my two conclusions on this matter based on that are, if yer gonna not have sex before marriage, to me that should mean nothing beyond kissing and hand holding, cause I know these two not only did that and had oral sex etc, but played around with bdsm sorta stuff.. seems like.. only playing at commitment to no sex..

and the other thing is, if you make it publically known that yer waiting for your wedding day, on the day itself, the only thing a LOT of people will be talking about is, "Hey, they can finally get laid!"..

Wait till marriage? Perhaps you should show this to anyone contemplating such..

i just dont understand that if they were the MAJOR chrisitians they appear to be why would they be letting there first sex out with the detail like that?

1. Do you not know what the onion is?

2. All marrige is is a ceremony. It doesnt really matter if you exchange "sacred" rings, or if a shaman comes over and shakes his rattle over your head. The fact of the matter is that people are exactly the same before and after they have been married, the only difference being that they now have "god's blessing" or whatever. My point is this: if you love someone, anything you do is all well and good. Even if you dont and its just for fun, that can be all good too.

It would be nice to wait until marriage but some people are just so hard to resist.

Sex before marriage isn't bad or unusual, but sex before puberty - that's special
