i don't think sex has much to do with affection at all, sex is usually just a result of lust and not affection (this is not always but 99% of the time it is)

I think you need to take the time to get to know someone before jumping down their pants, then.

It can be very affectionate and lustful at the same time, I think that's usually how it is.

Umm... you're both right I think. It depends when you start having sex. Its just lust if you're not in love, and never have been. If you start having sex when you're young... well.. 99.9% may look about right.

If you start when you're older (I won't put an age on it as every one falls in love at different times. If its the real thing, you'll know. And never fully get over it... or at least not until you fall in love again. If you ever do.)

Anyway... once you have fallen in love, then lust is just a product of that love. Love is not only blind, it is blinding. A person truely in love with another will not care what else is on offer. Hence being in love with one person, and in "lust" with another is not very likely.
