my turn to preach. or cry for attention. you decide.
Having freedom whether single or attached means having options. People who believe that they will be totally filled up in a relationship will not have the freedom to stretch it like a rubber band. It will be brittle and break. The elasticity comes from trust and willingness to talk and accommodate. The concept that men and women need to cheat to get sovereignty is a two-dimensional view. Couples who agree to be experimental rather than exclusive are at least honest about what they want. Others pretend to feel one way and then act in another. Some experts claim that men have weenies that detect hot action like a divining rod. Men do have pop-up equipment that announces interest. They cant help it. Period. For some men, that means parking it in that object of desire, rather than simply being flattered and enjoying the buzz while fully clothed or letting ones imagination run rampant and unimpeded with no ramifications. Cheating can also be a howl for connection. Sharing toilet paper doesnt guarantee a union of souls, and a new person who beams interest and delight in your presence is a powerful magnet.
this is from an old letter i wrote to a magazine few years ago.
here's the news.
my relationship is in shambles.
once again.
i can help others, but i can't help myself.
most of all, i'll miss my son.
and i still love her.
no matter what.
waste not your emotions, and cherish the confidence of loved ones. it only happens once, the rest is just a replay, rewind, forward, eject, and pay the late fees.
i still hope i can make it work.
my brother says hope is the mother of fools.
good mother loves her children,
and that's what i am counting on.
see you all later.

Re: my turn to preach. or cry for attention. you decide.
if you truly loved her.
you would respect her search for happiness.
even if it doesn't include you.
yeah, you'll miss your son.
but she'll miss her life.
if she stays with you because of either you or your child.
she has to be happy as well.
this is what i hate about relationships.
no offense sckbch;
but everyone of us would rather our partner sacrifice what they want out of life;
just to please our own selfish needs and desires.

sckbch, I know where you're coming from..
But sometimes you've got to do what's right, or let someone else do what they think is right, whether it hurts or not..
the only thing I've found to give any meaning to any of that stuff, is just to try and follow your own path, keep upright at least, if not walking, amidst the chaos, and have faith that eventually things will be ok.

sckbch, good point I agree with most of what you said but men and women will always be let down by the minority who go around doing whatever the fuck they like, stamping over emotions like they have the right to do whatever they want. These people create a image which the rest of us are tarnished with. sad but true.

I want my records back and that motorcycle gas tank that I spray-painted black the owls have been talking to me but I'm sworn to secrecy I woke up in a burnt out basement sleeping with metal hands in a spirit ditch the moon it will rise with such horse laughter it's dragging pianos to the ocean if I had a home you'd know it'd be in a slide trombone I woke up in a burnt out basement sleeping with metal hands in a spirit ditch

you know what you're right.
from now on i'm going to forgo my happiness and search for what i want out of life.
just so i don't hurt the person i'm with.
who doesn't really love me anyway or they would find joy themselves in what makes me happy.
countzero, people like you are the reason i don't get involved in relationships.
all people like you care about is your selfish wants and desires.
the "how can you do this to me" attitude.
hate to tell you people but it's not all about you in a relationship.
you know if you decided to care as much about the feelings of the person you're with as you do your own; your relationships might last a little longer.
