Well, it makes breaking up more like a divorce. And it's usually the step right before marriage- are you that serious? On the other hand, it's shared rent and responsibilities. Seems to me that someone with a monniker like John 3:16 wouldn't be shackin' up, y'know?

Re: Moving in together....!!
This isn't something that you can be easily helped with, dude. I have friends who have moved in with their boyfriends or girlfriends relatively soon (within two years), and it was the right thing for them. I also have a friend who's dated the same guy for 10 years, but doesn't live with him, and it's absolutely the right thing for them, too. Situations vary, and you know yours the best.

Re: Moving in together....!!
All true..what i think is most important though, is.....DO you have fun together..?? If you go away on a long weekend together, do you get along ALL the time, or do things start getting rough after a while. Test things out, invite her to stay with you for a month or so, but make a specific date. What i mean by this is, find some reason for the two of you to stay together for a month, but also make a date for that to end. If in this month u both get homsick after being apart for a week, then i c nothing but good in it. If your going to throw one heck of a huge party when she or you for that matter leaves, then i would think of it as the wrong choice. Marriage,kids,social life(degradation ), are all things that would change during ur stay together. Everything is different. Do a test run, see if you like it. After making such a commitment, its really hard to go back to the way things were without F*@$ things up.....

Re: Moving in together....!!
Thanxs for all the replys
My girlfriend and I have been going out 4 about a year now and yes we have spent sum time living together(up to a week), it worked out alright I guess.
What I really want to now is what are the good and bad points, of moving in toegether?Is a year of going out to soon for a guy to take such a big step?

Re: Moving in together....!!
Good side: You see each other a lot more.
Bad side: You see each other a lot more.
If you do move in together, don't spend all your time with each other. That's all I can offer.

Re: Moving in together....!!
there's a difference between wanting to all of your time with someone;
and actually spending all of your time with someone.
it has to be a very strong relationship.
you wake up to them; you have breakfast with them; you hopefully go to work without them; you come home to them; you eat with them; you watch tv all night with them; you go to bed with them;
this process repeats over and over again until one person reaches the breaking point and says "goddamn i just need a little time to myself is that so fucking hard to understand"
then you end up with a lot of time to yourself; because the both of you realize that although the sex was great; there's more to satisfying a relationship than satisfying yourself.

Re: Moving in together....!!
The question you need to ask is not whether or not you should, but why are you? In my experience many times couples move in together because they aren't sure of their relationship. That seems to be okay, except that if you are together for, oh say a year, and your still unsure their may be a good reason.
The second thing that often occurs is that these same couples then get married (probably because its the next logical step). That, of course, is when the problems really start.
By the way, statistics bear this out. Couples who live together before marriage have a higher divorce rate than those who don't

Re: Moving in together....!!
I've been living with my girl friend for a bit over 2 years and we've had a great time. I thourlly recomend it if your serious about her. Remember that, especialy in a small flat nothing remains secret so if there is anything and I mean anything you girl doesn't know about she'll know it after 6 months, lots of couples don't make it that long.
Be warned it can be dangerous but fucking hell it's great fun. Just remember that there are more than the two of you on the planet, it's easy to get very rapped up in your selfs and you can have two nuck of a good thing.
Good Luck

Re: Moving in together....!!
The most important thing to ask yourself is if you can trust her. Follow her around for a day or two and see what she does and who she talks to. If she lies to you then forget about it and dump the bitch otherwise go for it.
