Default women of the temple, help me.

I have a dilema. OH MY GOD!!!! MY DOG JUST FARTED!!

anyway (PLUGH!!), ring dance is coming up soon. i have no money. i have no job, i have no money, i have no uncles and aunts (my parents were only children. BOTH of them), i have but two things: jack and shit. jack left town.

i am wearing a kilt to the ring dance. i want to make it special but i desperately need to make it affordable. I can't even afford a class ring. I was thinking of bringing a table cloth, really nice plates, actual silverware, nice glasses, candles, and going to wendy's. but i don't know. it sounded kinda sweet to me, but i don't want her to slap me... please help!!!!! *sobs*

It'll all work out if you go naked.

Despite what you may think, showing up to classy gatherings buck naked never sweeps people off their feet.

Except that time when I did volunteer work at the retirement home.

I'd say a specially prepared home cooked meal wrapped to stay warm is an excellent idea along with the silverware, etc. Make sure you know a good place to go and eat it. By the water somewhere is my favorite, but a hill or mountain top with a nice view works too.Candle light is a great idea, but if you're outdoors wind is often a problem so a little oil lantern is sometimes a better idea.

Parents won't loan you.. some money for this very special event?

If that's void, tell her right when you set it up.. the wendys thing..

or the outside thing is good too, but ya just gotta make sure it's PERFECT or else one fuck up and it all goes down and then before ya know it ya look like an ass.

yeah, suzie, a church friend is a scott and he has an old military kilt that he said i could borrow. it looks really nice. ill have to remember to cross my legs...

The whole reason i would bring the table cloth and all that stuff is because we would be eating at wendy's (actual wendy's food.) we would place all of our shit on a table, and put our food on the plates and such, but we would be wearing dress clothes and candles. i tried to get my girl to wear pants just for the effect. candles are definately not for the outside. both my girlfriend and I attract mosquitos like there's no tomarrow.

i already thought of the home cooked meal thing, but that is too overdone.

It's not over done if you're a good cook. I prepare beef in so many ways, and pasta, ooohhh! Good bread is a must and some Cheese, I love a rich sharp Cheddar with just about anything even if that isn't proper etiquitte.

Well that's cool about the kilt

as for cheese, yep, cheese is great in all it's many forms..

Ok, romance without cash..

Home cooked is great, not that original, but always appreciated esp if you're a good cook, if you want some recipes I can help out, or www.allrecipes.com is a really good site for anything ever that you wanted a recipe for..

Wendy's is an original idea, but there are other options.. lets see.. if you attract mosquitos, replace regular candles with outdoor citronella candles.. big blanket or rug for the ground, and lots of food that you don't need silverware for, because fingers is way more sexy (you can feed each other) and much more practical for a picnic kind of thing.. plus if you choose carefully, you'll be able to get a ton of different stuff in small amounts (or pref, use food your parents already paid for) for the same amount of money as wendy's for two..

Other options for a romantic meal.. hmm.. a themed meal, where every dish is something special to the two of you, like whatever you ate the first time you ate together etc, or where everything is heart shaped.. or where the first letter of each dish, eaten in order, spells out "I love you".. you could ma ke it a kind of game, where you blindfold her, get her to guess the dish, and the letter.. that would be fun..

oh, and a fortune cookie kinda meal would be good too, where you hide lil notes in every dish, saying romantic things (if you lack for inspiration, look up a quotes site, or put a shakespeare sonnet snippet on each one).. You'd have to be careful choosing the food, and careful to choose an ink that's not going to bleed when encased in food..

I'll let you know if I have more ideas..

What you have to remember, is that it's not so much the money you spend, it's that you've thought about it, about how to make it special, and that you put effort into.. that's why the wendy's idea isn't bad, but home cooked will generally go down better, especially if you never cook at all, because she'll be like "Holy shit you never cook, I didn't even know you could".. Note, cooking is not that scary, especially if you have a recipe to follow, and I'll help if you need it.. Let me know if any of these ideas appeals.

well then wendy's is a good idea.. you can also try persuading the wendy's people to bring out something special or put something special in the order bag, you'd have to go in there in advance or something, but you could persuade them to put a cake or gift or something in the bag.. just find a female staff member there, they're bound to go "aww thats so sweet, of course we'll help"... some guys probably would too

If it'll help with an idea.. for my ex-girlfriend's birthday (we were still together at the time), I made a batch of cupcakes and shaped them like a heart. Then I took pictures of them and e-mailed them cuz she lives 400 miles away, but she still liked it, so imagine what it'd do for you!

lol, so you get cupcakes that taste like steak, it's all good...

Truthfully, I got help baking too. I thought it was a cool idea, but I can't cook for shit, plus I'm allergic to eggs (it's fucked with my head so bad I can't touch them without shaking), so I went to the baking expert- my mom. Can't go wrong there.

What did you wind up doing, anyway?

i always cook with alcohol. to me, whiskey makes anything taste better. expecially steak (i cook steaks like a pro). baked goods, i used to be able to make rum cakes and stuff like that, but i don't know how to anymore. i love the taste of irish whiskey. the last time i baked anything, they were brownies, and i followed the instructions to the letter. for some reason, it tasted like steak...... i don't know why. the oven is spotless.
