I doubt there are any changes planned for TOTSE but what else do people think would be a good addition for the site?

A hits counter would be cool to see how many people have accessed the site, plus an online now counter to show how many people are currently logged on to the board!

Some other sites have this feature and it also displays time and date record of when the most number of people were logged on!

Im sure the script for this routine could be easily encorporated in to TOTSE.

Any other ideas/suggestions?

If Admin get enough requests for something it might happen.

I think it would be pretty funny to see the board be bright red and bright green on christmas day. Not just red and green, but an obnoxious red and green. It might be a bit of work, but it'd be worth it.

That would get on my neves, this blue lets me posts for hours w/o losing my vision.

the whos online right now thing would be cool. the red and green on christmas day would also be cool. they should also make a few more mods just for christmas day and not let any flaming go one for the whole day.thats bout it.

the red and green sounds alright for xmas day but anymore would piss me off, but then again dont people have other things to do on xmas think of the poor guys who run this site, they have to do all that and prolly only a few people would visit on xmas. but people logged on script sounds good.

Who's online is prohibitively server intensive for a site like this.. it'd really slam the server without adding much in the way of feature..

It shouldnt really slam the server, i dont know shit about programming a bbs but the script should be a simple registering routine similar to the post count etc.

It would add feature and give the users more "real time" information about the board. I have seen it set up on a board and we have the room on the main page at the bottom near the light globe icon. It displays something like...

It would add feature to the site and most people like the idea, it would be good to log on and know how many other TOTSE members are here. It would make a nice site upgrade. What do you think?

It would take some doing, but what about something in the profile when people can enter their birthday, and on that day only they get a small avatar that consists of a little tiny present.

I think having some thing pop up(or some thing of that sort) on your birthday would be cool and totse should have a counter/teller thing.

The birthday thing sounds kinda retarted, but the new java counter would be cool.

The birthday thing would be a bit difficult because it would require submitting personal information. Even if it worked off just the day and month people are bound to slip up in another thread and say their age. Which would in effect let people work out your full date of birth and make it easy to find out our identity!

Alot of members and moderators are keen on the idea, so you never know, if enough people want it, ask and we may recieve.

I think the administrators should dress up in santa costumes and the moderators dress up as elves, with everyone submitting their photo, someone then could possibly photo shop it into one big happy christmas at totse shot =)
