Default Music Visions/Reappearing Scars

I'm not sure if this is the best forum to post this in, so if someone else has a better place, please let me know.

Whenever my girlfriend listens to a particular song, she has 'visions'. she has only listened to it twice.

the first time, she said she felt like she was very high up, and spinning very fast. She said everything was dark.

the second time (last friday), i was holding her while she was listening to it. it was very eerie...i could feel her go as the song began. she gripped me very tightly, her muscles tensed and released in her hands (and a little in other places, but mostly in her hands). when the song finished, she was back, but this time, she said she didn't even realize she was gone.

immediatly after coming back the second time, i noticed a small scar on her hand. she said it was from a cat that scratched her, and she thought it had faded a while back.

over the past four days, she has had many old scars reappear, scars that healed and dissapeared years ago.

The song is "Orestes", by 'A Perfect Circle'. Has anyone ever had similar experiences, or know anything about this? Thanks for your help

p.s.
Neither of us were under the influence of alchohol or drugs during these experiences. i have smoked pot every once in a while in the past, and she is totally clean.

That's freaky. Faded scars can reapear under stress, and it sounds like she was having one hell of a reaction to that song.

Moving to Spurious Generalities.

Now from what I see this is all a psychological fixation. This reverberation may hit a certain frequency that affects her but no one else. Many psychiatrists use sounds to hypnotize patients. I just think you should stop listening to the song. It seems to be bringing no good to her.

I'm guessing there's a story behind it. I think the reappearing scars are due to tension and stress. There are a few songs that will produce very strong reactions from me. Ohne Dich by Megaherz (commonly mistaken for Rammstien) gets me almost suicidally depressed. That's probably because I was going through a time when I felt like that and just kept listening to that song over and over. Heaven by Dj Sammy will piss me off. Really piss me off. There's a story behind that too.

Hrm.

I don't know about the scars, but the "going" away, and strange "visions" sort of remind me of "synethesia." Just Google it and see what you can find.

I have a music recording prog called cool edit pro, it has what is called a "Brainwave Synchronizer {oslt}", and with it you could change the wave frequency to alter the way your brain hears the music and produce calming effects or heightened states of awareness, etc. I never got into doing it much, but maybe the artist tweaked the song with some sine or theta wave patterns and it produces that effect.

yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if the effects i've seen in this song are intentional. i've written the author, hopefully he will write back soon (if ever).

I had something like that happen while i was listening to "making of a cyborg" from the Ghost in the Shell soundtrack. The jury's still out on that one tho, because it very well could have been the morphine.
