Ever get your pets high?
My roomate and I have two grey kittens that we rescued from some asshole that was taking them to the humane society. Whenever we break out the bud, we share with the little furballs. Pete has one of those big orange traffic cones with the hole in the top. We put our little buddies in the cone and practically suffocate them with pure tai stick exhale.
The cone makes for a perfect gas chamber. The hole in the top is the only way for fresh air to get in. Since we're blowing the ganga smoke in through the hole for 20-30 mins, those cats get nothing but pure THC for the same amount of time. Its fucking hilarious watching the little fuckers trying to function afterwards.
Its always a blast, especially if you're stoned. I HIGHly reccomend it.

Re: Ever get your pets high?
No man that's not cool. "Practically suffocate them"??? That's fucking mean. Just do what my friends and I do with my friend's cat. Every time we go over there and smoke in his room, we always have his floppy black indoor kitty. We either bring her with us into the attic when we take gravs, or lightly blow smoke in her face. She loves it. She's such a burnout...
Eat, sleep, get high, grub out on human food and human drink, sleep, eat, stay thin and floppy, all without worries. That is the life of this kitty. And she's a slut too. It doesn't matter who you are. She will lay on and pass out on you, no matter where you put her. You could wrap her up in your shirt, lay her upside down, wrap her around your neck, it doesn't matter. She is ever-loving, ever sleeping.

I thought dogs and cats lacked THC receptors and therefore couldn't get high.

Re: Ever get your pets high?
i had this dog named Ralph. whenever i would go into my room to toke, he would scare the fuck outta me by knocking my door wide-open, the mut couldnt resist being in the same room when me and/or my friends are lighting. we would blow it out in his face and he would wag his tail. he loved it. we would always give him our almost empty beer cans. hed sip the gutter to drink it. cool dog. i remember one night ralph got wasted and ate out my other (female) dog in front of us (of course she let him). it was the funniest fucking thing. ralph's still the talk of my group even after we had to get rid of him.

you lie as well as do cruel things to animals. my friend and i have goten his rooster high! [that's what it looked like, at least] we blew smoke at it and it walked closer... so we blew some more... it put it's head up to the cage. it couldn't keep it's balance on it's roost. it kept turning it's head to the side. we could poke it without it doing anything [this is the rooster from hell, it'll peck the shit out of you if you get near it] pure insanity.

I'd have to call bullshit on that. We got one of those cats (Egg bag) the female, so wasted 3 weeks ago that she still walks around with her head cocked at 45 degree angle. It runs into walls and doors. Still fucking hilarious 3 weeks after the fact. Re: Ever get your pets high?
Sir you should immediatly take your tortured animals to some more caring home. If you want to torture something, make it your mom or your first born child. If you want to get your cats or dogs high thats perfectly fine, but suffocating it in a cone is just plain retardism(new word). I have had my dog high before, and I think it liked the experience, but you say you took the cat because you felt bad for it, yet you torture it with smoke. You can try to put youself in a bigger orange cone and have someone blow smoke from the top to you for 30 minutes then see how it feels. The exhale of a person's breath doesnt contain much oxygen, much less bud smoke that has been held in for a while. Yes the cat is probably stoned, but you see what you will be like after a while of lack of oxygen.

Re: Ever get your pets high?
dear CDG, you are a complete and total moron. the air we exhale contains more than 1/3 the oxygen it did as we inhaled. when u do the proportions that is plenty of oxygen for a cat because its lungs are about 1/15 the size. You need to stop talking if you dont know the facts. And as for the mom or first born child thing, that is just messed up to say. I mean thats like saying that you should pull the cat out of the way of an oncoming train before youre mom or your kid. I think you should think about what you are sayin before u say it u fucking dick licker. AS for the getting animals high thing, I got my dog drunk. he usually humps my other dog, but when he was drunk he couldnt mount her and she so here just layed there and moaned when she walked bye him. It was hilarious!!!! have a nice day, bigben2

Man! Your pets should be like your kids. You are responsible for taking care of them. Personally, I wouldn't hotbox my kids [they'll do it to themselves soon enough!]

Re: Ever get your pets high?
I have a funny story. My friends and I were sitting around being bored, and I saw an ad in the local newspaper for free kittens. So we go to this ladies house to pick up a new kitten, and there was about nine of them left. We were really suprised that she let us take all nine of them home with us. Anyway, we put them all in a burlap sack, then smoked about an 1/8, blowing all of our hits into the sack. We then went to a bridge and threw the kitty filled sack off of the edge. Man, those cats were FUCKED UP.

Re: Ever get your pets high?
My cat gets high just from sitting on my bed, looking over the edge of the bed watching me and some friends pass the bong around. My room is so small it gets high just from being in there. Also, I would assume due to their small size, cats would take far less THC to get high than a human.

Re: Ever get your pets high?
My friend's roommate's cat was in heat. He had it in it's pet carrier so it couldn't get out and get all preggers on him. The cat was crying very loudly and was very agitated. He asked if we could get the cat high to help ease the anxiety. We covered the carrier with a towel, took some hits and blew the smoke into the cage. The cat did mellow out and he was able to let it out of the cage for a while. She wasn't bumping into walls but she did sit in one spot and play with a ball for about 30 mins before going to sleep. Normally I would never have done it, but it seemed to help.

Re: Ever get your pets high?
If i am remembering correctly, which I am not too sure of, the THC receptors were part of a discussion in the better living through chemistry forum and I thought the statement was that dogs and cats, dogs at least, couldn't get high. THC, like all other mind altering chemicals, does something to your brain and this is caused by a molecule in the weed bonding to a receptor in the brain. This is a very low tech explanation and I am sure Metaphysicist could provide an infinitely better answer.

Re: Ever get your pets high?
No way man. There's too many stories. There's too many experiences. All the scientific data in the world wouldn't be able to convince me that I have never seen a stoned cat, or that my friends have never seen a stoned dog. Blow smoke gently in kitty's face, blow smoke gently into doggy's ear. Let doggy have some beer if you want. These animals can and will become intoxicated.
The only thing you want to watch out for is getting the wrong animal stoned. I'm mainly talking about cats. My friend's outdoor orange cat doesn't seem to have a good reaction to it...my kitty on the other hand has never gotten enough, and when he has he's just gotten a little wierd. One day though...

Re: Ever get your pets high?
I agree with anyone who thinks this is am act of idosy. I got my cat stoned once and he just sad there and looked as if he was hallucinating. Afterwards he would literally run away if he smelt puff. I felt really out of order. anyone who thinks this kind of thing is funny has no respect for animals at all.
And should be fucked up the arse with crucifixes by butch, fat bykers

Re: Ever get your pets high?
to settle the debate on animals getting high here you go...
"The locations of cannabinoid receptors in the brains of humans, rats, dogs, guinea pigs and monkeys were mapped using a new synthetic cannabinoid called CP55940, which binds to the CB1 receptor about 500 times more strongly than THC (6). The existence of cannabinoid receptors in the brain implied there must be a natural brain cannabinoid. In 1992 a team of scientists managed to distill the "endogenous cannabinoid" from the brain of a pig. They named it "anandamide" after "ananda", the Hindu word for internal bliss."
apparently we have natural cannabinoids in our heads, hence the receptors for it... interesting read here http://www.lacbc.org/receptor.html
