Could there be a color that our eyes arent able to see, nor brains have ever thought of?? Like possibly a color un imaginable to think of thats not even closely related to any colors, some weird exotic color that if we saw, we would be dazzled...just a thought...

Colour is all in the mind.
Our eyes pick up light radiation, the our brain translates this to colour. Basicly.
Every sense must be first translated by our brain for us to understand..... like, hearing, touch, taste and smell.
I want some sort of drug or something in the future that would change the way in which our senses would translate. So we could taste words, see sound etc.

What if we don't all see colors the same? Like, if my blue is your green.

not that i actually KNOW anything about drugs for real, cause haven't tried any besides booze, but aren't shrooms supposed to change "translation" of the senses? asfaik somewhere on shroomery.org is said that you don't know if you hear or see or taste or whatever (note: only after taking large doses)

Runaway- i believe that its already been proven. One person "sees" a colour differently to another, thats how people have a preferance to certain colours. Scientists think that its the same with all senses (one person tastes something and doesn't like it whilst another does etc). The only thing thus far that they have proven is the colour thing. They proved it by acciedent too. In (i can't spell it to i will spell it phonetically) Mass-er-chew-sis they recently developed a way to use living cells from a donor to link blind people's brains to their retinas. The cells acted as a bridge between the brain and the eye by bypassing the optic nerve. It only worked with people who were blind since birth though. Its still prototype technology and the first person to try it was Bill Gruse, i think. Anyway- they hooked his brain up to his eyes using other peoples cells, he could only see blurs and shapes but he could deffinatly see colour, the doctors taught him which colour was what and what different things are etc. Then after a couple of months the cells connecting his eyes and his brain wore out. The scientists got a different donor to the one before and they reattached his eyes using different cells. When the man could see again he told doctors how colours had changed and what once was blue is now orange etc. Using this knowledge and data collected previously by people who had turned colour blind during their lives scientists concluded that because of the uniqueness of everybodies cells that signals get sent and are interpreted by the brain differently in one person than in another.
