Default humanity in 30,000 years

i think that we have gotten rid of the evloution part of life with the use of genetics and keeping stupid fat people alive. then take into consideration nanotechnology, which theoretically could keep up alive forever, so stupid fat sick people can mate, a lot...well maybe not so much, casue they are stupid and fat...and sick. but what do you think humans will be like in 30,000 years? would we still be humans? the sun isnt supposed to blow up for 50,000 years...anyway...post what you think.

So it's not inhabitable now?

Anywho, I really don't think we'll be around in 30,000 years. That is a pretty long time from now. Either an asteroid or some kind of new virus/bacteria will wipe us out. Or maybe i've just seen too many movies.

I think that there will probably be different GE variations on the human body. Many of them done to adapt to alien planets (even at slower than light speeds we will surely have visited a few star systems by then).

I bet we will have humans that don't even look human (read sci-fi trilogy The Golden Queen for examples).

I doubt people will be much different in 30k years. We might have bigger brains and no hair. The wonders of medical technology will either fuck up the gene pool and make more deformed people (freaks) or just generally make the human body weaker. Afterall, do you think cavemen ever got fat? Hell no. They were all big and muscley from hunting wooly mammoths and running from vicious saber-toothed cats.

But it probably won't matter if we destroy this planet. When corporate America finally spreads to outer space, we will surely go with it. Like that other guy said, we should reach some other star systems by then.

I think there will be either a great depression, globally, or a new epidemic will strike.

I believe the human race will be reduced to about a half million in size, but the survivors will eventually return to the civilizations we are as of now, and we will not have war and the like and will work together to make sure nothing like that ever happens again.

Then again, I also think trees look like monkeys, so what do I know?

If war doesn't kill us, I will. A kid by the name of Jake will go on a rampage through the world, starting with the US and then slaughtering poor Druggies in Mexico. When he is done with the Americas he will move to europe, first destroyign everything with the word euro in it "Euro disneyland, Euro dollar etc." ...

I think if war doesn't get us, we can use my ideas (perpetual motion with magnets, nanotechnology, genetic enhancement) to kill everythign else and then we become vegetarians eating veggie burgers at mcdonalds because we killed evrythign else.

When the water level rises, the insect population will increase and so will bateria. (warmer weather, more moisture.) Less land and we are over poppulated a bit right now.

So less land for people to inhabit will mean more war and the insects will carry more pathegens to areas that were prevouisly non-tropical regions.

Top it off, the weather will get worse because the weather is fueled by the water cycle. More moisture,More heat, more hurricanes,

Remember, all the extra water area will be ocean. Most insects that carry disease (mosquitos, ticks, etc...) need fresh water for their eggs.

In that senerio global weather paterns will be fucked, who knows what we will be facing.

Hmm, humanity in 30k years? Can you say Galactic Empire? Read Foundation.

As for asteroids annihalating the human race, laf. Even now we have the technology to prevent an asteroid from crashing into this planet. Launch a rocket with a powerful warhead from Earth and let it hit the asteroid, the asteroid doesn't need to be destroyed but a strong enough impact would change it's trajectory saving good ole Earth.

I believe we will look like the "grey" alien species, large heads, to fit the information needed in the world, and smaller bodies, as we have to do less and less physical work. Which is prolly what the greys went through in their evolutionary cycle.

30k Years...

1. Space travel through worm holes (Hey? We got from the horse drawn carriage to the probe to mars to the public supersonic jet in a flash.. concorde)
2. At least 60 global wars with cleaner weapons other then the nuclear warhead (Neutron Bomb - US) and;
3. Population wise from each world war... we'll be in around the 400 billions across the milky way...
4. Encounter at least 4 intelligent aliens. (I hope... I mean, theres alotta space in space...)
5. Very much advanced human bodies (Appendix gone, tongues gone, psycho-kinesis)
6. World War 1 and 2 will be long forgotten..
7. Average Life expectancy - 200 years... I certainly wouldnt wanna live past 120....
8. English and Mandarin will take the main languages (Firefly!! The TV Series)
9. Paranoia will be dead... or just the opposite (With all these spy sat's we probably will get less paranoid from the fact that if we wanted to know something we could access it *snap* like that course we could also go powerhungry... meh)
10. Clones.. Clones! CLONES!!!!! As our servants and as our armies... Clinton and the church only delayed the inevitable for another decade or so.
11. Entertainment as we see today (Game systems, theatres) will be dead.. active sports and possibly something from star trek will replace them. (Hey, look at every science fiction.. alotta them have TV and movies as obsolete!)
12. The sun will be a little darker (Minor) and special genetic traits will be weeded out into "Customize Life" s---... Such as red eyes, half color eyes, unnaturally bright orange hair, etc..
and my last thought
13. Elements chart will have over the given 112 - 118 elements.. (that is to say we keep them 20k years from now) and they will have even more weird names.. Einsteinium.. Germanium, Europium, Bismuth.. etc

Default Re: humanity in 30,000 years

We have to take into account how different people will view us in 30k years.

Let's make a list.

Christian Fundies: Jesus has risen on December 11, 2002. All the thinking people are gone, in hell. The earth is now a new paradise and all the nice little followers are playing harps to the Big Man forever and ever, in a quiet...empty universe.
*shudder*

Jewish View: The Messiah still hasn't come. Most Jews have figured out that the messiah is in the form of the US Tax Dollar.

Liberal View: We all look pretty much the same. Races don't exist. We all have blonde, kinky hair, brown skin, brown eyes and have a society equal to Harrison Bergeron (sp). Everything must be equal to the last, and everythign that isn't must be punished. The countries will have seperated into tribes led by Warlords, high tech weaponry replaced because nobody knew how to use them...people did though, figure out the planet was dieing from poluttion. An 1800's tech level. Aliens are uninterested because they are not equal to us.

What will probably happen:

Genetics will have advanced to the point where most wounds could be healed almost isntantly. Abortions are completed before the fetus even develops, sicne pregnancy tests will have devices that will be able to get rid of any unwanted fetus.

Cloning will be present but not mainstream. Nanotechnology will have sprouted such things such as Molecular Copiers (think of the replicators on Star Trek..awesome), huge structures that make Earth Resemble Coruscant (Star Wars). Mars will be colonized, and possibly Jupiters moons.

The Extraterrestrial presence would have made itself known a LONG time ago (maybe in a few years from now). Thus the human race would be in 4th Density (next phase of spiritual existance), and operate mainly Service-to-Other.

This will allow us to start colonizing this and possibly other Galaxies, as 4th Density has different physics then 3rd, our current. The Speed of Light isn't the fastest possible anymore. We're set in space travel. Our psychic abilities will have blossomed, perhaps with the help of genetic engineering and/or Hybrids with the much more psychic Greys.

We will have mastered Electro-magnetic energy, or something better, and the new (4th Density) earth won't suffer the same fate as THIS one. Races will still exist, and Alien-Human communities will appear on Earth and on other worlds, as we become a member of the galaxy at large.

And of course, becomign largly Service-to-Other, war will all but stop. We might feel the urge to kill and take, but the empathy we feel in 4th Density will make us think about the other persons feelings to the point we won't (usually).

Oh yeah.

Religious views.

The mainstream 'religion' will be more of an understanding of the universe and the energies at work within. The soul will become acknowledge, as well as reincarnation and possibly a spiritual afterlife in addition.

Monothiesm will transform into something like a Scientific Spiritualism. The divinity will be recognized as the creational force that molds existance, possibly in the form of the SuperStrings. (Should they prove to exist.) And sex will no longer be a taboo subject. In fact, I see most foolishly taboo things will be unmasked as unimportant to make a fuss about. (such as Sex, Nudity, Hiding Children from the Real World...) Christianity will still exist, perhaps, as a myth, or in a few scattered cults.

I think we will evolve into creatures like the bug eyed grey aliens from stargate and x files.
If you think about it the transformation is already well under way. We have already lost most of our body hair and as we spend more time indoors in the warmth our hair will completely go. As we tap into our brains full potential Id say our skulls will develop and grow to accomodate the increase in size and as we rely so heavily on our eyes they will become bigger, we'll possibly end up with some telepathic abilities. and as we becom less physical in work and life in general our bodies will become smaller and leaner and we could end up skinny and 5 foot tall. We will probably no longer eat meat as some eco freaks will come up with an idea for a better food source.
Of cours the way things are going with G Dubya we will be lucky if we are still here in 30 years never mind 30,000.

Genetics will have advanced to the point where most wounds could be healed almost isntantly. Abortions are completed before the fetus even develops, sicne pregnancy tests will have devices that will be able to get rid of any unwanted fetus.

With developing technology the reproductive system will probably come with an off switch. It will be impossible to have unexpected pregnancys.

Cloning will be present but not mainstream.

Probably used as an alternate form of reproduction. Think test-tube babies.

Nanotechnology will have sprouted such things such as Molecular Copiers (think of the replicators on Star Trek..awesome)

I doubt that nanotech will be able to opreate quickly enough to have things instantly. However even the most complex devices will be built with only needing the raw materials.

huge structures that make Earth Resemble Coruscant (Star Wars).

I personaly think that people will become more environmentaly aware, and a significant fraction of humanity will live in underground cities (also because of population presure that would dictate 3D cities for living space).

Mars will be colonized, and possibly Jupiters moons.

In all that time there will probably be a whole mess of self-sufficant space stations too.

The Extraterrestrial presence would have made itself known a LONG time ago (maybe in a few years from now). Thus the human race would be in 4th Density (next phase of spiritual existance), and operate mainly Service-to-Other.

I don't think aliens will contact us until we mature a bit. But then, maybe we haven't been discovered yet. Space is big, even for a race that has been around for thousands of years.

People will probably have technology assisted psychic abilities. Even if the extent of it is telepathic communication from computers with wireless links implanted in our skulls.

We will have mastered Electro-magnetic energy, or something better, and the new (4th Density) earth won't suffer the same fate as THIS one. Races will still exist, and Alien-Human communities will appear on Earth and on other worlds, as we become a member of the galaxy at large.

once apon a time "survival of the fittest" meant something. but with todays modern science, those who were never expected to survive are able to. Although im very glad to have the modern technology and knowledge that we do, isnt this slowing down the evolutionary progress of human kind? because weaker genetic traits are still able to be passed on and on?

Ok, here's mine:

1. Assuming we haven't killed each other by then, the human race with finally throw up it's arms in disgust and get rid of that whole religon thing. Small pockets may exist, but nothing on the scale we have today.

2. We will have attained space travel, and will have most likely colonized most of the galaxy. Each planet's citizens will geneticly modify themselves for easier living on that planet, so different types of humans will exist.

3. We will have waged war with at least one alien species. If there's one constant in the universe, it's the desire to fight.

4: Totse will exist as it's own planet, with an army of tranforming robots at it's disposal.

That's it for now, I guess.

I just think we'll have a whole galaxy dedicated to Heineken. My kinfolk will take care of the details!
