I wasn't able to catch all of the news, but I heard something about a tip being phoned in to police. It told them to look in the woods near the latest shooting and they would find a note. I heard they found the note, but not what the note said. Did anyone hear anything about this note? I assume this note was the reason they were waiting for a guy in a white van today.

I heard that there was something about asking for money...but I am not sure...

It was a false alarm, the real killer did contact the police though- they said he taunted the cops as if to say, "you are too stupid to catch me, I have to give you hints and even if I told you where I was you'd still not find me.". On that note, maybe the killer actually is on this forum.

most likely this arresting wasnt the sniper and just some stupid suspection. cause in like 2 days your gonna see another shooting and another, and its just gonna keep going on and on. But you never know until something else happens, it could be the sniper but i believe it isnt. Just like with the OKC bombing(i lived in OKC when it happened) well they had alot of people they thought did it before they actually found timothy mcveigh, so most likely its just a assumption and there gonna do some lie detector test and keep him in jail for a while till there done, but once again ya never know.

I thought there was something odd about the report..if you go down to the bottom where they list bullets to related articles they have one stating that they convicted a man on giving false info to the police...but if they haven't caught the guy and know all the storie how do they know what he said was false?

i saw in the paper that a very highly regaurded french military sniper has gone walkabouts in the US has hasn't been seen for quite a while. thats about all the article said, but i got a real 'the professional' vibe off it.
