What is it like to be an American?
All of the British people I've met have been friendly and far more intelligent than the average American Boobicus. Also, on many apparent levels my superior.

Re: What is it like to be an American?
What's it like to be an American? You get frustrated every day because you're blamed for the rest of the worlds problems when in fact you have nothing to do with them. The same people who are fucking the rest of the world in the ass are also fucking you in the ass. You open the news paper and read articles written by corporate lapdogs about how you are going going to get raped by the latest price hikes, or their going to dump toxic/nuclear/bio-waste in your back yard or they already did and you just now are finding out about it. You watch your friends go off to fight in wars they don't understand, based on the rhetoric of politicos who just want nation X's land, oil, or whatever it is they have that we need at cut rate prices so it can be brought back to America and the public in general can buy it for $.50 less. Unless you're the average American then you don't think about that, Friends is on.

Re: What is it like to be an American?
I consider myself fortunate to be an American. Where I grew up, there was a civil war, where the people supposedly fighting for you didn't really give a shit about you, The same people who are being oppressed by Israel are leaving car bombs all over your city, in residential areas, killing your friends and family, getting thrown in a fucking prison for leaving your own country, Getting your ass caned for some trivial offense, I consider myself fortunate.
