Well, I imagine it works kind of like a camera flash does, builds up energy and releases it all at once.
Camera flashes can shock you, and it feels odd as fuck but for a stun-gun you'd need more energy.

You will never be able to make one no matter how hard you try, you cold take apart a camera but thats only a shocker.

some kid in my friends mechanics class got shocked by a car battery, not really sure what the hell he was doing with it. Knocked him out cold. If you're desperate to make your own, just carry around a car battery with 2 jumper cables, no one will fuck with you then.

Yea, you can make a shocker out of one of those 1 time use cameras, if you want to make a stungun just get a source of high electrical power, put somewires on it, and try it out on yourself, if it works, thank god, if it doesnt, krank up the power =) I dont know shit about this, just go out and buy yourself one, why the fuck do you need one anyway?

Umm...
Now thats a bad idea.
Try using multiple 9 volts with a flash, but I'm not sure it'd give more shock- just allow for longer usage. It would be interesting to know how many volts a flash releases with a 9 volt. It possibly would release more electricity if you could prime the flash to some how hold more electricity.

Why use a stun gun Abomb?..when u can trick a dumb enemy into stunning them selves...by either telling them to:

1) piss on an electric fence.
2) stick there tongue into a light socket
3) play with mr knife & miss toaster

Anyone with a goddamn year 9 level education should be able to work out how to add power to a circuit and also how to change a capacitor.
Easy as pie really. Some cameras its really simple- just pry off the little grey cylinder thing and replace it with a bigger capactor (try radio shite if you are an american or tandy if you are british). You have to solder it on but its easy to do. Next buy loads of battery clips (normally black, get the ones that you can hook up four 9 volt batteries to), (by loads i mean 3 or 4 of these clips). Also get enough batteries- now use some wire to solder these to the input points on the camara circuit.

Its really easy if you get a camera with a grey cylandrical capacitor. If you get one with a little black round capacitor (normally the more expensive cameras) you have to pry that off carefully without damaging the board or any of the contacts- now solder your big ass capacitor on.

These can be pretty bulky but they do work quite well. Don't be a dipshit and hook up 8 or 9 battery holders because you will end up seriously damaging someone (i am talking brain damage and death).
