Re: my friends dad died
Sorry, man. I can sympathize. When I was ten, my best friend's dad was murdered about a block from his house...

Re: my friends dad died
I can sort of relate in a weird way.
A month after I broke up with my girlfriend, she and her new b/f broke into her parent's house, stabbed the mother many times, broke her neck, and set the house on fire. It's big news around here.
I'm not bragging or anything, I'm just saying that her mother was really nice to me and I knew her well. I heard what happened the morning after and drove over there with a few friends. News people everywhere and the house was a wreck. It just hits you hard how sad shit can happen so close to you...

Re: my friends dad died
Things get noticed the closer they hit to home. How do you think the people felt that walked out of the WTC the moment the plane slammed into it?

Re: my friends dad died
My friends dad died when i was about 10. I didnt know him much but its still a shock. He was a manic depressive and he ended his life by driving into a river.

Re: my friends dad died
i'll put a happy spin on the subject of dead father's.
from the age of about 5 until his death when i was 13, my father broke my left arm twice, my collar bone once, fractured 3 ribs and gave me 2 black eyes.
his sorry ass fell down our stairs at home and he punctured his stomach with a broken rib. fortunately the stomach acid poisoned his bloodstream and he swelled up and died a bloated bastard 3 days later.
karma's a bitch.

Re: my friends dad died
my friends dad shot himself one morning. turns out his mother(the dads) also killed herself and there is a genetic disorder in the family...one of my other friends father that lives next door to him had to clean it up(.40 cal glock with hollow point bullets) i'm guessing he heard the shot and went to see what it was...i just burned a bud for him that night...i didnt know what to do.

Re: my friends dad died
sorry, d0m.
last summer a friends mom was beaten to death by a crazy neighbor kid. he just went to her house and killed her for no reason, beat her with cast iron skillets and golf clubs. her dad found her 3 days later. she was an elementary school teacher. when the kid got to court he told everyone that it was because her son; my friend, was mean to him when he was a kid. even though the kid that killed her was older, and bigger than her son. it was really bad, cuz none of it was true. then he said in court that my friend was gay, which had nothing to do with the trial, and is a complete falacy anyway. it was real bizarre, for him to be saying these things; and he didnt even try for a diminished mental capacity case... hes obviously crazy though, and i hope hes gettin a stiff one to the butt at this very moment; and for many years to come. he got life, but my friend is more fucked over than the kid could ever be in prison.
the point here is that someone always has it worse, just keep your head up, and try to be there for your friend. im sure he needs all of his friends now, just like my friend needed us. be a man, and let another man cry on your shoulder if he needs to.
