They didn't die in vain.
I thought it would wait a few more years, but car sales are already starting.
An acutal ad on the radio today.
"In rememberance of those that gave their lives last year. We are offering a $500 rebate on any new or used chevy or dodge truck or car at Chuck Dagget in Portales. This limited time offer is only good from now until Friday. So come on down for rememberance day savings."
I'm sure that saving americans money on cars is what the terrorists had in mind. That's a hell of a way to pay your respect to those 3000 people.

Re: They didn't die in vain.
I knew all this bandwagon patriotism would be commercialized. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. Maybe corporations actually do have a tiny modicum of shame, because I expected this shit months ago.

Re: They didn't die in vain.
The people that died on 9/11 gave the Government a reason to drive out the Taliban, which were going to award the rights to Argentina after negotiations failed amongst the taliban officials that came to Texas in 1998, and finally set up a puppet government in Afghanistan and start construction on the much anticipated Trans-Afganistan pipeline into the Caspian sea, which has more oil and Gas than the entire Middile East.

Re: They didn't die in vain.
no one gave their lives for anything! to give your life you have to aware of your impending death or at least the serious risk of it. when a soldier dies on the battle field it can be said he gae his life because he knew there was a good chance (or possible certainy) or his death but he goes and fights anyway. when i get hit by a bus and die walking down the street i thought i was safe and goign to be fine, i didnt give my life to make people more aware of public transportation safty standards. those people didnt give anythign because they had no idea what was about to happen. im sure no one would have showed up to work if they knew what was about to happen. im not saying that it was fine that they died or that they should be forgotten but they really did not give anyting. they were just more people that died for no reason at all.

Re: They didn't die in vain.
see the used car sale savings are needed because if they werent there then where would i get a good deal on a chevy yes the govermant planted the planes in the side of the builing and used a holograph to give the illusion of the planes actually flying those people did nor die in vein bacause we all get to pay for the moronic non functioning anti ballistic missle defense system wich georie boys daddy started in his term and clinton saw it as a sham to put more money in the pockets of the republicans so we all need to work a little harder tommorow to give more money to the goverment so they can protect us better with a bigger hologram machine by the way the american dream is not a dream but a long lasting illusion aided by the prozac in your water

Re: They didn't die in vain.
LMAO, some sad shit was bound to come from this...
In the land of banjo-playing sale-screaming car sales that is Kansas, this blows it all away.... At least they didn't say that they needed to sell 10,000 by the end of the month....
