Reproducing
About two and a half years ago I was talking with my Japanese chemistry teacher and we were talking about disease and natural selection, etc...very renaissance type guy he was at the time. We talked about how diseases don't thrive in non-human populations as opposed to...uh..humans.
Example: A rabbitt has diabedes. The little dude feels ill then toddles off into the forest to die. He may or may not have had babies. Assuming he did, his kids will have a greater chance of having and dying of diabedes. If he didn't then, all the better for the gene pool.
This is where I come in. Every morning in the shower I analyze what happened the previous day - who I met, how they acted, trying to understand why they think the way they do, judge people, I could keep going but I'm boring myself. Thank you for reading this far.
I've had severe anxiety disorders since puberty, and subsequent depression because of the anxiety. Should I do the human race a favor and have nothing come of me?
unlike trog you miserable bag of snot.

Re: Reproducing
Thanks for those replies and let me add something. We were talking about treating my mother for breast cancer and little kids that get cured of luklemnia. My mom had my sister before she developed breast cancer (BTW it was articifical anti-menopause estrogen that gave her cancer). My mother didn't know she was going to have cancer. What what about those little bitch kids that are going to have five to ten babies and keep childhood lukeminia alive?
I understood what you said about perfect idiots MaTrIXSpiirit. It's kind of like that example in Brave New World. Where they put all the alphas on an island and they ended up killing each other because no one wanted to do the 'dirty' work.

Ohhhhh thats why you're such a little shithead snibbling coward in need of mommies money and affection. She didnt breast feed you because she lost her titty after having it removed for cancer? Oh people.. before you react towards me harshy, our little friend loki poki had made a calous remark towards me about my wife. Telling me he hopes she developes cancer of her reproductive system. My wife has never said anything towards lokil She doesnt agree with me half the time and shouldnt reflect any of my former comments towards anyone on TOTSE. yet lokil decided to attack her in his own childish way hoping to push my buttons. Lokil, here is a reality check. No matter how much steroids you take, no matter how much crank or angel dust or how much you work out. I will always be more of a man then you. You better hope we never meet. I will show little mercy towards you. And dont think I dont know about your pathetic attemps to find out where I live through a P.I. Agency. You are a coward and a loner. You have no real friends because you dont know how to find a true friend. All your friends are shallow and evil hearted as yourself and You will die alone just like you came into this world. cold and empty. take care malcie

Re: Reproducing
I mean, anyone who has been identified as a carrier of a genetic disease should be made sterile, via a vasectomy or tubal, the human version of neutered or spayed.
I don't exclude myself. I do want children someday, but I would never want to inflict sickle cell on them if I carried it.

Re: Reproducing
I have diabetes and it bothers me with the injections, eating at specific times, blood test and eating and not eating specific things.
But you have to chill about it - shit happens as they say.
But one thing bothers me, when im older i want to have a family and i dont wanna let them inherit the condition. So i understand its a worry lokil and i know exactly where your coming from. But no dont end life its to beautifull to let go. Want to be inspired watch American Beauty in my opinion it is one of the best films that makes you think and the director was right "life is beautifull".

Re: Reproducing
Diabetic people don't necessarily have diabetic children..
Your logic is flawed lokil. There are genetic aberrations that make it easier to live under certain conditions.. take for example, sickle cell anaemia. Anyone who carries just one gene for that, is basically immune to malaria. Yet sickle cell anaemia is a terrible, awful condition... At any point, when you decide to remove genetically "inferior" lines from the gene pool, you run the risk of homogenising the gene pool so much that humanity cannot withstand changing conditions, or new diseases or illnesses..

Re: Reproducing
Personally, I don't want to reproduce. Get married, maybe. If we really want kids, adoption. I don't want to have to raise a kid, because: one, raising a kid with the proper attitude about the world would probably be considered child abuse, and two, I want to do my part to lower world population. See, another thing that pisses me off, with adoption shelters for cats and dogs, typically after 30 days they're put down. But humans, oh, well WE must be fucking special! No euthanasia for us! Not even for the sick and dying! We must be so much fucking better than cats and dogs! Feh. I have expressed my opinion.

Re: Reproducing
Every human being should not reproduce. Parents never punish their kids, and treat them like friends. Just today as a matter of fact, a local family was walking along the sidewalk in front of my apartment, and the kid, who looked to be about 11 or 12, whips has dick out and pisses on the wall of another building, right there, in front of everyone. The parents did not stop it. Kids aren't some expensive bag or clothes you can impress your friends with then put them away for years. If you can't raise them, then don't have them. There is a purpose to birth control.

Re: Reproducing
i think everyone or nearly everyone should reproduce at least once. the last person to think of selective reproduction was ummm, Adolf Hitler. Also if you do have a disease which could be passed to your babies then you should not reproduce, because then the diease just continues.

I agree. There is little sense in drying up the gene pool. My eyesight is poor; I wear glasses. Yet I won't think twice about not having children. The problem is that fucked up people are only reproducing other fucked up people. There needs to be a better blending of genetics for the gene pool to thrive. Personally, I'll do my part and impregnate a supermodel if I have to

I'm with Mr. Boo, half the kids in my neighborhood are wasting valuable air that could be going into tires and balloons. Hell, just this summer the kid next door (we'll call him....Satan) set the woods on fire, turned off the gas to a few houses, bounced more than one rock of my windshield ("totally by accident"), taught his little brother how to stand in the street and scream at 7am, and just gives me the creeps every time I see his sorry little ass. All this when his father only had to come to my door and I would have gladly given him the money to go and buy a condom.

lol just a few cents to prevent the little shits from popping out. What i really enjoy doing is telling the little shits that the reason they were born was that the condom broke. Most are ten years old, can't spell their name, yet know what a condom is. Thanks Joycelyn Elders.

Re: Reproducing
ther ea re 2 thingsd with diabetes if u get it at old age that means u are fat! and so your children will have diabetes but they wont be fat beacuse they wont be able to or else they'll die so i guess diabetes is natures way of making fat people have "normal" children

Re: Reproducing
There is 2 types of diabetes, Type one which i have where you become insulin dependant. And type 2 due to diet - food has to be watched like type one. Tablets are given for type 2.

Re: Reproducing
The way I see it people who are carriers of serious genetic diseases should not breed. In fact people should have a test for all testable genetic diseases before being allowed to breed.
Achondroplasia Achromatopsia Acid Maltase Deficiency Adrenoleukodystrophy Aicardi Syndrome Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome Apert Syndrome Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia Ataxia Telangiectasia Blue Rubber Bleb Nevus Syndrome Canavan Disease Cri Du Chat Syndrome Cystic Fibrosis Dercum's Disease Fanconi Anemia Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Fragile X Syndrome Galactosemia Gaucher Disease Hemochromatosis Hemophilia Huntington's Disease Hurler Syndrome Hypophosphatasia Klinefelter Syndrome Krabbes Disease Langer-Giedion Syndrome Leukodystrophy Long QT Syndrome Marfan Syndrome Moebius Syndrome Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) Nail Patella Syndrome Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus Neurofibromatosis Niemann-Pick Disease Osteogenesis Imperfecta Porphyria Prader-Willi Syndrome Progeria Proteus Syndrome Retinoblastoma Rett Syndrome Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Sanfilippo Syndrome Shwachman Syndrome Sickle Cell Disease Smith-Magenis Syndrome Stickler Syndrome Tay-Sachs Thrombocytopenia Absent Radius (TAR) Syndrome Treacher Collins Syndrome Trisomy Tuberous Sclerosis Turner's Syndrome Urea Cycle Disorder von Hippel-Lindau Disease Waardenburg Syndrome Williams Syndrome Wilson's Disease
Just to name a few.
Then again, in a few years we will be able to do genetic surgery on fetuses, and can eliminate these diseases that way.
