when i save a spot on the game Silent hill 2 for my ps2 on a 8mb memory card, and then turn my ps2 off and say the next day ill play again and everything will load, but then when it comes to the screen where it says "new game" and "options", i see a blinking "load" and a "continue", you can barley see it, but its there, when i take the memory card out its gone. also when i do get the "load" option and load a game save from the memory card, ill get a "load error occured", i just lost 13 hours of fuckin gaming, and by the way this only happens with this game so far. I tried it with metal gear solid 2 and no memory card problems, If anyone knows what this problem is, please help.

It sounds like it got corrupted, how this happen's, just like computer, ya shut it off before it finished saving. That or you let it to close to a magnet or some shit.

Maybe when you saved the card wasn't inserted all the way, this happens occasionally with the game shark too. I've never lost any game time, but i did have to re-input some of the codes in the shark module (which fits in the memory card slot). Chibi may be right, you may have just pulled the card out too soon. Look at the bright side, at least this gives you a chance to go back and fix some mistakes you might have made along the way.

yeah i think it might be the game shark, but before i can load the game and now like after 2 days i didnt use my ps2, i cant load the save point....damm ps2, ive also heard there may be a ps3

There will certainly be a PS3 and an X-box 2, you may see PS3 first because X-box has the PS2 beat in terms of processing speed, etc. X-2 is currently scheduled for 2k6 and I'm not sure of PS3.

so does anyone know how i can prevent this memory card problem?
