Ive heard and read many of things about satanism but have not actually participated in anything. i have many friends that claim to be satanists but im not sure if they know what they are doing. i believe in all the stuff talked about in the satanic bible but i need to know about the rituals and holidays of this religion and how it is practiced.

how can you be a satanist?

if you believe in satan, you must believe in god,

and in so doing you must realize that what you are doing is wrong.

should you truly believe it.

one thing i've found in satanists, is that being "cast-out" is a quite common trait.

they don't quite fit in with anybody, where satanism turns you into someone.

no matter what you're belief, hearing that somebody is satanic will leave a certain impression you.

usually a sort of fear in "god-fearing" people, people think you're going to sacrifice their cat.

satanism was huge in my state in the late 80's, especially at one of our military bases,

it was referenced in the book the ultimate evil.

we also have a crippled children's school that specializes for children who were born with certain needs that a public school couldn't provide,

while not necessarily retarded, they couldn't do things like "normal" people.

i worked their for a year during school always took the kids out cruising go hang out with my friends for a couple hours they fucking loved just that little bit of normality in their life,

anyways, the halloween of the year i worked their, there were satanic threats all around town, the school had inverted crosses painted on it, the animal shelter was told that satanists were going to break in and sacrifice all the animals,

well, they called where i worked and said they were going to sacrifice a virgin on halloween and were pretty sure they could find one their.

because of the year it was and the evidence of "satanic rituals" that were springing up all over the state, the police were called to not only patrol the area but to stay in all residence dorms to ensure the safety of the children.

about the only thing that happened that night was a country road had 5 inverted crosses dug into the dirt by the roadside.

satanism has a way of turning a nobody into somebody,

whether it's done for fear or attention, a reaction from people who normally wouldn't give you the time of day, and an acceptance by any group of people is huge in a young persons life.

but like all religions satanists play on your personality and exploit your weaknesses,

my roommate got hit up by some jehovah's witnesses who tried to convert him,

the first question was are you happy in your life,

my roommate answered yes, and they replied oh a difficult one huh,

my roommate soid, so the only way god can get people to follow him, is if their troubled?

one constant in life is that like will always attract ilke,

but searching for your like will always find people looking for someone to manipulate,

I will repeat a question I had already asked in a previous thread. Isnt satanism something practiced by rebelious teeny-bopers
so they can show everybody how bad-assed they think they are.

Yeah, that and also 'vice-versa', if you believe in 'god' your evidently 'adopting' a Christian concept, therefore you believe in 'Satan' too, weather or not you worship either one, you still study 'Satan' meaning your worshipping both 'symbols', even though Christians actually believe there is a 'god' and 'Satan' as beings which is kinda rediculous.

satan is the excuse religious people use as manipulating man into wrong doing through temptation, so as not to point the finger at the follower whose paying your bills.

who wants to donate money to an institution telling you that you're the evil in the world.

clerics i think were the first psychiatrists, as long as i pin your problems on anything and everything but you, you'll come back next week for another 90 dollars an hour so i can reaffirm that no matter how many people you killed it's your parents fault because of the abusive childhood you had to endure, you're not a bad person really.

how many adults do you see walking around wearing heavy metal shirts. teenagers have a certain ego that follows them around during these turbulent years. Thats why most teenagers wont believe that nothing can harm them in any way you know "nothing would happen to me because I am special". Satanism also falls in this catagory. They start "practiceing" it because the establishment frowns of this subject. They want everybody to see how scary they are, or rather wishing to appear that way.

"Real" Satanism has nothing to do with worshipping Satan. Devil worship is something else entirely.

Well what about the rich socialite satanists? They certainly don't fall under the catagory of "teeny boppers".

There are the Levay-an satanists who do cater to teenagers just because they are easy to influence and make an impression on. The Church of Satan likes to bring up their numbers of members to prove to the rest of the world that they are legit (and hopefully encourage more people to join out of curiosity). They mostly like to hold orgies and practice other sexual "magick". Closely related to wiccan ceremonies.

But what I dont know much about are the high society devil worshippers. They interest me the most and because they are a highly selecive group that doesn't want to include just anybody off the streets, they are extreamly secretive. There is virtually no information to be found about them.

There are also other groups that have very different views and approaches on Satanism such as the Order of the Nine Angels and the Temple of Set, etc.

I don't presume to know everything about Satanism. I am not a Satanist but I am doing extensive research on it for a paper in college.

For the guy looking for information on Satanic practices, there is a TON of information on this site under "religion" about the many different forms. You should be able to get your questions answered there.

Also, for Jersey Devil...what kind of Satanist are you? I would be very interested in possibly interviewing you for my research.

Actualy most satanist dont actualy belive in the devil in the commen Christian way. Satainsm is more about selfworship. Do some research then you might not sound like such a fool.

I know who Anton S. Levay(sp?) is (hes the "Black Pope" Trog) I cant say I subscribe to his beliefs, but when I was attending UAF there was a bunch of evil wanna-bes who set up a table in the student common area to spread the word. Well, as far as I know only solitary practitioners (and small independently formed groups) and Levay-an satanists would sacrifice animals. Although they can cause mischief like killing small animals and cutting them open or vandalizing a nearby church they are relatively harmless.

Any satanist or person with limited knowledge of esoterica will be able to tell you that a human holds more spiritual energy than an animal. Maybe this could be argued because to some, animals seem to represent a purer and more innocent species, which i disagree with but that doesn't matter right now. But it would take more for a person who is trying to prove themselves worthy of evil to take a human life (an equal) than an animal.

My point is, serious satanists don't sacrifice small animals found in a shelter. Kids that call themselves satanists are not. I wouldn't worry.

some odd misconceptions being posted hereNthere....one mentioned about not seeing many adults wearing heavy metal shirts....1st of all, heavy metal bands are adults (most) and metal has nothing to do with promoting satanism although satanists will use it as a tool, so does every other type of group......and it seems to me that it comes down to a very simple realization...there is a source of "good" and a source of "evil." An origin of each...and I think that the labels given to "beliefs" are limiting as well as un-accurate, misleading arguements and discussions into time wasting and futile energy depleting fruitless endeavors producing more confusion than reducing...
