The PTC or Parents Television council, is trying to destroy TV shows like WWF smakdown, ally Mcbeal, Family Guy, Boston Public, and many more!

Why? Their slogan is "Bringing Responsibility to the Entertainment Industry" They think that 8:00PM-9:00PM (primetime) is their so called "Family Hour" Where little kiddies should be able to watch TV. And they want to destroy ANY T.V program that has any "Bad content".

They work by stripping TV shows of their sponcors.

They cheered when the howard stern radio show stopped, and said it was "Good riddance".

They have tried to destroy WWF smackdown!

There has been family programming from 5AM to like 6PM But they want MORE family programing from 8 to 9PM so they try to destroy any shows like Buffy, WWF smakdown, ally Mcbeal, Family Guy, and Boston Public, because they have "bad content".

d0m You dont necessarily have to do it from your computer. There was a group around where I live called Truth and they protested tobacco and eventually got smoking banned in a lot of different places. Their still trying to get it outlawed. I started tearing down their billboards and posters and putting up my own that said stuff like: smoking makes you cool, rockstars smoke why not you?, you have to die sometime why not smoke, and stuff like that. After me and some freinds did that for about a month a lot of other people started protesting it too.

well personaly i think most of prime time television is worthless thrash but they have no right to take it away becasue it offends some people. so long as the television shows do not violate anyones rights or send out extreemly disrespectfull messages directed at groups then there is no reason to ban them. i would be willing to protest against them if there was a real effort organized.

people are trying to turn americas youth into a bunch of pussy tree huging jesus freaks. kids need to be subjected to some level of violence in order to undestand it. taking away crudeness sex and violence from television will not change anything. it is bred into our very nature and its foolish to hide and deny it.

First of all I have yet to say that this is an anarchist action. Second I did say that I DONT watch any of those shows. But whose right is it to ban those shows? Not the fucking PTC. Can you not see that they are conforminist? Do you really expect grown ass people with different morals and principles than the PTC to watch seventh heaven all day? They're trying to ban those shows because they think it is a bad influence on their kids. Gimme a fucking break.
