Re: Foot Problem - Medical Help Needed
Ever hear someone saying "my arm went to sleep" or "my foot went to sleep"? Sounds like you're foot just "went to sleep". Don't worry though, it wakes up.

Im gonna have to first say you came onto TOTSE for medical advice? Im not offering advice but this sounds like what My Father used to get when he had Diabetis. circulatory problems will cause this. Of course everyones foot goes to sleep once in a while and you get the "Pins and Needles" effect. Late at night when you are tired you get a "Straining feeling" that means its time to go to bed because you potasium levels are dropping. Again go to a doctor and have it checked out because if you get it just sitting it could be signs of blood clotting and that can be dangerous especially if you sit alot or on a plane you can get pulminary embuli(Blood clot of the leg that breaks off and moves to lungs or even brain or heart valvle)which could kill you.

Re: Foot Problem - Medical Help Needed
Ok it is NOT a circulation problem, it is a nerve problem. Yes it is "pins and needles" caused by simply cramping and pinching of a sensory nerve.

Re: Foot Problem - Medical Help Needed
for future refrence, blood moves faster when it is warm or even hot, so a heat pad would cure it once it starts but there is no real way to stop it from occuring. sometimes it starts just because you have a small blood clot in a vein or atrery. if it happens and does not stop after a few hours then seek medical attention but it still isnt urgent unless your foot starts to change color.

Re: Foot Problem - Medical Help Needed
Dude. You should see a doctor....a real doctor; not us thread site quacks. It's sounds like you've got a definite circulation and/or nerve situation. Both can be the result of the same problem. More than likely you have periods of inactivity that you need to interrupt with some simple isometric exercises. Not to get personal; but are you a large man? Fat can play a huge role in cutting off circulation and pinching nerves. If so all the ,more reason why you need to take breaks and do some walking and stretching. Both of the symptoms you describe could be from the same problem; or they could be separate issues. Dizzy spells and light headedness could also be symptoms of blood pressure issues. Which could lead to a heart attack or stroke. All the more reason why you should seek professional medical advice. Good luck. Peace

Re: Foot Problem - Medical Help Needed
I get the second one.
If you have low blood pressure standing up suddenly will drain the blood from your brain causing temporary tunnel vision/complete blindness and vertigo. Just stand still for about ten seconds and then start walking, you should be fine.
Maybe you should get it checked out with a docter just in case it's something else.

Dude.. if blood preasure goes down when you stand up or work out thats a heart valve problem If you dont believe me go see a Cardioligist right away. You blood preasure is supposed to go up when you stand up.. Normal blood preasure is under 130/80 if your stand up the normal range is 140-150/85 if your blood drops and you feel like you are going to pass out thats called Hypotention (Opposite of Hypertention) and that usually is a weak heart valve. You need surgery to tighten it up.

Re: Foot Problem - Medical Help Needed
im not a medical professional, and noone else in here is either obviously, but you seriously need some iron and some potassium. You also probably need to lay off some of the drugs and the liquor to for a while to you get it straightened out. Like my Great grandpappy used to say " you're only gonna ride this train of life one time so you ought to ride up front!!"
