for those of you who dont know what this is its a Download Resume program thats freeware.

I tried 4 times to download a 300meg file with my cable line only to be disconnected all 4 times. i was frustrated with the other crappy D.R. programs out there that never seem to work. DAP5 is for you if you consume lots of warez of the net. not to mention it speeds up your transfers by 300%.

hmmm...i use it to, its quite fast

Does it help with 56k?

i used to use it with my 56k it was good, now i use it with DSL and it RULES

getright better, it does everything dap does and more, plus less errors.

how can it speed up downloads by 3x?
if a connection can only download a certain speed then how can a program make it faster?

I used to get errors with getright all the time.... and i got less with DAP. Now i dont bother with anything, because i tend to download warez which are split into lots of parts. I does speed up downloads, especially on AOL connectiomns like my old one, i was getting like 2k/s from cnet and then i used DAP and got like 4k/s

It's not free really is it though, it's full of fucking spyware. Thats a odd form of free if you as me.

yes its designed for dialups but speeds broadband up a bit too. not 300% but when i had a dialup like AOL i was lucjy to get 2kb/s download speeds, this sped it up to around 8-10kb/s so yes download it and try it out. im sure you will be impressed eitherway.

getright doesnt help regulate the speed. The reason DAP works faster is because it uses 4 channels to download instead of 1. you will see the input output display at the bottom. you can see all 4 channels working. Getright and Godzilla doesnt use that feature. all they do is resume shit.

I stand corrected its not freeware because it has banners. Not sure what spyware is but if you want banners removed you have to pay 29 bucks. but the banners are part of the window and are small so they dont annoy me as much as forking out 29 bucks. and it doesnt have a 30 day trial it wont stop after 30 days.

Stuff paying 29 bucks you can get plenty of cracks for it, try a search on http://www.astalavista.com
i didnt register mine and i got rid of the adds, I've only got 56K mod and it works great.

Could be a bad reading.. i have in fact seen it say 8kb/s and jump to 10 before.

if you're gonna be technical about it the fact is in America because of static in lines they only allow 40bps on standard dialups. but thanks for bringing this to my attention. it still better then 2kb/s so it does speed up the line a bit.

problem with cracks is you never know if its sub7. you install it and it cracks the banner but also hides a trojan in your computer and emails the fucker who wrote it.

next thing you know someone is spinning your screen upside down and opening and closing yer CD doors.

virus detectors are only 80 percent effective.

WW, thats when you get a subseven firewall like HEAT or something, Or you can just not worry about any of this shit and just put up with the adds or pay $29 for the DAP program.

That was my point. The adds are so small you dont even notice it.

I have a router with only one port open, ATT cable modem and blackice running and I still got it.

I plan on purchasing a DVD Burner in march when they are expected to come down another hundred bucks. the sony has a built in firewall. but it doesnt seem to matter because theres always someone who can bypass them.
