I know that what people liked was the answer not how it was arrived at but here's another in the same vein.

Here $ means dollars and c means cents.

Kam, in your money equasion you made some bad substitutions.

$1 does not = (10c)^2, or you'd end up with 100c^2, or 100 squared cents. You have to maintain the unit of measure to accurately substitute, a squared cent is not the same as a regular cent, and only a regular cent = .01$.
