MSN Messanger
MSN messanger was a great service untill they decided to charge for their phone calls. It wasnt that good to start off with unlike Yahoo Messanger that had almost cell phone quality. but like Yahoo, MSN decided to shorten their free time to 5 minutes, then 2 and last week i tried to use the service to call a friend in Nebraska and it said "You ran out of free time.. click on link to request more free time this month" but when i clicked on it it was a dead url. i tried several times and still get a dns error page. my guess is they just deleted the request page all together.
Does Microsoft really need to charge 2 cents a minute for a piece of crap internet phone service. sure i'll use it when its free but i was hoping they would fix or update their drivers to work more like yahoo and offer an unlimited free calling like the old days. Imagine how much ma bell would have suffered. They could just sell banner ads at a high rate knowing how many hits they get on their site.
Anyways FUCK MSN.

Re: MSN Messanger
Is anything in life free? Come on... I think you're just to use to being given things.... wake up to reality maybe? But if the quality of the phone connections are that bad, and most people are like you, not wanting to pay and all, MSN will probably switch back... though don't count on it. I still love talking to friends with just the messenger.... I mean don't freak out... go find something else... boycott maybe?

Re: MSN Messanger
Obviously you don't read tech news. Ad prices have gone WAAAAYYYY down lately, noone is buying ad space anymore.. Hence Yahoo's failing grades, etcetc. That's why they're all pushing pay services left right and center. Noone can afford to give things away for free anymore
