there isnt a single chemical that will ignite gasoline spontaneously.

however, when concentrated sulfuric acid is poured onto sodium chlorate or potassium chlorate, it ignites spontaneously.

so what many do is this:

they take a glass bottle, and fill it with a 1:1 ratio of gasoline to sulfuric acid (always pour the gas into the acid slowly, and DONT pour the acid into the gas). then they dissolve the potassium or sodium chlorate in hot water, and sometimes they add some sugar. then they soak a couple paper towels in the solution, and rubber band the paper towels around the glass bottle. cap the bottle. now what they have is a self-igniting molitov cocktail.

how this works is you throw it. when it breaks, the sulfuric acid will mix with the chlorate soaked towels and spontaneously ignite. this will most definitely ignite the gasoline, which will be spread out around the area by now. the sugar also helps light the gas.
