Im listening to RadioHead "lucky" and even though Radiohead didnt come out till the early mid 1990s their haunting music reminds me of the "Wa wa" music of the 80s. not this is not about music its about a time gone past. In 1985 i met this girl from the UK named Ann. she was a cute little redhead German girl raised in the UK then came to america. I remember us meeting up for the first time at the embarcadero stattion and her taking me to "Freeway park" at the Embarcadero. Freeway park was this great little greenbelt that you had to run 3 lanes of the Bay Shore freeway to get to. although it was the very end of the freeway it was still a challenge. Sad thing is "Freeway Park" no longer exists. it was destroyed in the 1989 San Francisco Earthquake. I miss Freeway park and wish i could take a trip in a time machine just for one day to smoke a bowlfull with ann and drink strawberry shampaign. Ann was a cute little mini pearl kind of punker chick and took me to see my frist punk concert at the "On Broadway" oh how I miss the days of old. The days of being a Night Owl and going to underground clubs in the SoMa (South of Market) now its all trendy yuppy faggots from hell who have changed the flavore of Frisco.

freeway park is now just a open courtyard near the waterfall at the embarcadero. it smells like piss now that homeless people live in. If you ever have time come visit their cardboard shanty town. Not being mean, i often give them change or buy a couple 40oz and pass them out to the guy. but the smell really gets to you.
