Re: How to keep a moron busy
Okay, I agree that the reason students go through school is to ultimately achieve a high school diploma.
All of the good grades that you may receive are just an added bonus and bring you to the REAL goal (which is not the diploma):
COLLEGE!!!
And the college of your choice. Okay, so you barely made it through high school making D's and finally got your diploma or maybe GED. How difficult is it going to be now to get into a really prestigious college? Especially if you did not do any extra-curricular activities. Yes, you can put down people that are into clubs and school organizations, but it all looks good to the university you are wanting to go to and adds to the possibility of *gasp* SCHOLARSHIPS! And what does a good university lead you to?
The CAREER of your choice. Going to a good school helps you to see what you really want to do with your life. Get a variety of ideas! LEARN! And KEEP learning!
Do you really want to work at McDonald's for the rest of your life? Maybe you can be the MANAGER there! Woo-hoo. Make your family proud. Keep goals in mind. Long-term AND short-term! It will all eventually pay-off. If it's money you want, a well-paying career will get you that money!
Keyword here is GOALS! Make something of yourself.

Othium, keep spelling gas that way, and you just might... C'mon guys, did you go to that link? I was just trying to give some positive reinforcement about school. School is very important in my opinion. I guess I just kinda went off on one of my tangents! Sorry!

Re: How to keep a moron busy
Ummm... you don't HAVE to go to college to make something of yourself.. I know many people that didn't bother going to college and are now making $60, 70, up to 100,000 a year doing things they enjoy....
