Logic Behind War
OK, This Question really is spawned by my emotions rather then expecting a logical answer. But when you view war upfront (Which i have not done) or view a movie such as Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor, Tora Tora Tora or even Full Metal Jacket.. you have to ask yourself "Why"? Why War? Im not bashing Japanese but what the fuck was their logic behind this big turkey shoot in oahu? It was Murder in my eyes. Some say the Japanese felt Hawaii was apart of the Japanese Empire. But what the fuck gave the Japanese the right or thought that They controlled the entire Pacific region? Why not the Chinese or the Koreans. What kind of fucking elitest assholes where these people. Didnt their emporer stay in power till he died in like 1990? why was he not brought up for War Crimes like the Jews did with Nazi leaders?
Im guessing every nation is Guilty of this. Americans with Native Americans, Brits with their world Domination plan in the past, The french with Africa and Parts of Asia, Russians with Poland and many of the small nations surrounding it. When you see people dying like in Saving Private Ryan and Pearl Harbor you really have to ask yourself "Is there a fucking point to all of this"? Oh.. Its official. "Its War". When 1 person does it thats Murder. But if congress or a Governments Cabinet approves of it then its "War"?
I dont want to Bash Japanese. I know we as America got them in the end. When i see Pearl Harbor i really dont feel as Guilty for killing thousands in Heroshima. Hell i dont feel guilty cause i wasnt born then. But the Japanese started it. I believe Japan actually have the nerve to ask for an Official Appology for the dropping of 2 Nuclear Bombs on their country. But have they ever officially said they were sorry for attacking Pearl Harbor. I dont care who shoudl have "Owned" hawaii at that time. Was this callus attack on American Service men justifiable at that time?
And lastly. This is only word of mouth by the few Hawaiian people i know. 1 of them actually being hawaiian by nationality. Japanese own 85% of the islands hotels. Even though its America now they own much of the islands business. And my understanding is they only want to hire Japanese for higher end positions like Managment. There is still this elitest(spell) attitude by their people. But they sure do make cool little toys so i guess no one cares.

Re: Logic Behind War
War either makes or breaks a country. If you win a war it's really good for the economy in the long run. If you lose a war then you're fucked economically.
However, what's most concerning about America at war is that we've mostly become the worlds army. We're always trying to get people to sign out peace treaties, and then whenever they go to war we get sucked into it. It seems like we have to fight in EVERY single war that comes along in ANY country now.
Our policy is: be nice to us and we'll beat up your enemies. That way every country who signs with us gets a nice little sign that says "Don't Fuck With Us". But it's bullshit.
We fight wars that have nothing to do with us, which causes us to have enemies and forces us into big mean fights we shouldn't get into. But, we do, because if we're not an army and we become neutral than we're going to have the entire world up our asses, trying to fuck with us, trying to dominate us. Which is lame.
It's all lame. But, we have to dance this stupid political dance and no one really likes it. It's just a fact of politics that just happens to be extremely lame.
Cheers, Lost
